We forgot about it
I once signed up to participate in a study on how depression affects memory, forgot I was meant to go do it, and when I emailed to apologise to the PhD student running it she basically told me that a) she was very used to this happening and b) the weird irony of her theories’ correctness making it very difficult to arrange proving them had by now gone from infuriating to hysterical
shoutout to the kid behind me in the theater who after mewtwo said “humanity is evil” loudly whispered “oh i didn’t know mewtwo was a good guy”
i was sitting with a bunch of cis people at lunch who think i’m cis and they literally had an entire conversation on how “nowadays you can’t tell who’s transgender” while i there wearing a trans pride flag t-shirt

Everyone shouldn’t have to hit rock bottom to love themselves. That’s just the society we’re all unfortunately born in — the one where you have to hit your worst and hate yourself in order to love yourself? Those laws only exist because self-hate is so prevalent. Body positivity only exists because body negativity is the norm.
gotta introduce the plot somehow I guess
No it’s not. Panoramas like this are a painstaking, labor-intensive digital product, not made by just “rolling down a hill”.
This image, “Big Sur,” is part of a series called “Alterrnative Perspectives” by photographer Randy Scott Slavin. It is an example of stereographic projection.
“Slavin’s circular panoramic digital technique is a way of seeing only made possible through digital methods and is an orientation he masterfully devised after much experimentation. The time required to capture the images and then create the photographs, which can consist of hundreds of photos “stitched” together to create a single 360-degree image.” (Amy Frearson, Dezeen.com. 2 July 2012)
Here’s some more of his work:
I thought it was cool as is, but doubly so now with the right info

The last one
Also good on these people for taking the aggressively petty route instead of falsely registering their pets as service animals
And one of the reasons I love my state and assure people that not all New Yorkers are assholes.
