It wasn’t often that the hypnotherapist could smell a burning flame. At least, it wasn’t often in the past. There were a few exceptions in this building, having witnessed a few flames burn up in the kitchen while someone was cooking every so often, but it wasn’t severe enough to where she would have to intervene herself. If someone came up to her and asked for her help, she would’ve most likely gone to help. If someone came up to her and needed her to protect them from any harm, she would’ve protected them.
But, there wasn’t a fire in the kitchen. Those weren’t flames that she was smelling coming from the kitchen. The screams that were panicked and horrified weren’t made because there was a kitchen fire. It was something...oh, so terribly out of left field. It was the case of not one, but two murders in the mist of them. Carrie was one of them, and Suzu had known that she hadn’t talked to her as much as the others. It was a shame, because she looked to be such a kind individual. Someone with so much potential left in her was taken away in an instant. That caused her to become horrified, but that’s not what broke her.
What broke her was the sight of Box-chan.
Box-chan. Box-chan was lying her on the floor, in her own, cold blood. Box-chan had been left alone and murdered, right next to the Ultimate Waitress. Box-chan was left unattended, unprotected, and that ended up being her demise. Why? Why was she laying here on the floor, motionless, with a knife through her chest? Why couldn’t Suzu protect her?
Why did Suzu break the promise to protect her?
Like a mother seeing their child in a coffin, she ran towards the Urban Legend, uncharacteristically tripping over her own feet. Her eye were wide with fright, and her glasses glared ever so slightly due to the lighting. The Clinical Hypnotherapist was not the same woman you had grown to know, at least, from the looks of her disheveled and fear-stricken body. Her arms were shaking, as were her hands that were planted against the floors. “...Bloody hell, I...This wasn’t supposed to happen.” Suzu’s voice shook. This wasn’t anything like in the movies. This was real life. “...I...I failed you...I failed to protect you. I failed to keep my promise to you.”

A moment or two of silence passes by, as she listens to Monika’s words. Those damned rules. Who was keeping them in here? Who was the first to actually kill someone, let alone two girls who had so much potential? Whoever it was, Monika was right. They needed to figure out who had mercilessly killed two innocent people in order to get the rightfully deserve justice that was needed. To avenge both of the victims, they would need to do their best to find out who did this. Suzu takes off her glasses, and wipes her eyes gently.
“...But, this time, I’ll promise this. I promise that I’ll find whoever was responsible for this. For your demises.” Shifting her glasses back on, she took a deep breath in, and exhaled slowly. She had to think, think rationally. She had to keep it together, for the both of them. “...I’ll make sure that whoever did this never gets to see the light of day ever again.” She stood up, and shifted her white locks back into place. She tried to be nice. She tried to be calm. She tried to be the motherly figure to each and every person in this room.
For now, though, she would be the neechan that Box-chan deserved.
