A/n: I was requested a rlly good fic idea by @dwetter97
Basically reader gets broken up with in front of Enjin and later on he hears y/n talking with riyo about how they’re losing faith in future relationships, so Enjin decides to prove her wrong.

You’ve never felt more betrayed than you did now. You boyfriend dumped you in the shittiest way someone could. It was a normal day, you were hanging out with your boyfriend in the lounge, like usual but somthing seemed. . .off.
Instead of being the sweet partner that he usually was he seemed irritated at your very existence. Rolling his eyes at your jokes, being blatantly rude, and ignoring you completely.
When you decided to ask him what was wrong he snapped at you, immediately yelling at you about what you were doing wrong, how you were just annoying to be around, and about how he didn’t love you anymore.
Worst part about it? It was public. Everyone was there to bare witness at your misfortune. It was soo embarrassing you couldn’t help but feel your face get hot and your eyes get watery and think to yourself,
“Get it together, y/n. Are you actually gonna cry in front of all these people?”
And that you did. You cried, almost let out a sob, but you stormed out before anyone could see you in this state any longer.
Each step to your roomfelt so heavy, so definitive. Like it was sealing everything together. You never thought he would disrespect you like this.
A few hour later you found yourself in your bed hugging a pillow with your face buried in it, getting tears and mascara all over it.
How could he do that to you? Genuinely how? You could’ve never saw it coming. He was so kind and patient with you. Always complimenting you and giving you gifts. He would even brag about you to others! What went wrong?
*knock knock* You whipped your head up to look at your door.
You were trying your absolute best to hide the fact you were crying but the tremble in your voice wasn’t convincing, along with the fact you sounded congested.
The voice replied in a soft sympathetic tone,
“It’s me, Riyo..do you wanna talk?”
You got up to your feet and walked over to the door and opened it to see a concerned Riyo. Immediately she hugged you at the sight of your tear stained face. You cried for a bit at the doorway in her arms, letting it all out.
Eventually she walked you over to your bed and sat and listened to you as you went on about your about your shitty ex.
“I can’t believe that actually happened…he was so sweet to me. He said he would love me forever.”
Suddenly she saw something switch in your eyes, a certain bitterness appeared on your face.
“I’m never trusting a man again.”
She hugged you once more as you continued to cry. But one thing you weren’t aware of was that while you were saying those things Enjin was passing by your door hearing every word, and he couldn’t stand it.
He had liked you for so long and the guy that ended up with you wasted such a good opportunity to the point where you didn’t see yourself in a relationship in a looong time. But he couldn’t have that.
He decided to prove you wrong. That there was a man that you could trust.

It was a few days after the break up, though the wound was still a bit fresh you went on like normal, still clearing the threats of trash beast and keeping up with training.
You were currently in the training room working on the punching bag. You punched punching bag with frustration. (Imagining it was your ex) each time you did fired you up even more.
You sighed and turned your head to look at the person who was talking to you, wiping the sweat of your forehead while doing so.
“Yeah, well the past few days haven’t been the best. If you didn’t notice.”
You replied with a tinge of sarcasm.
“I know, I saw the whole thing.”
That made you pause and groan.
Enjin chuckled a bit at your reply, cocking his head to the side.
“Wanna spar? Promise I’ll go easy on you.”

That’s how you ended up with a sprained ankle in the medical ward with a worried Enjin sitting in the same room as you.
“Oh, ‘I’lL gO eAsy On yoU.’ bullshit.”
You said with air quotations and a mocking tone as you looked at Enjin to see him pouting in concern.
You snapped back immediately.
You both erupted in laughter soon after.
“You’re a piece of shit, Enjin.”
He chuckled at your words and replied.
You both laughed more until it died down.
“Seriously though, I’m sorry for hurting you. It was never my intention.”
That made you sigh, if only it were somebody else telling you that…
To your shock he grabbed your hand with a sympathetic look on his face.
You’ve never seen Enjin so soft and apologetic before…and you definitely weren’t complaining. You’d hate to admit it especially because you just got dumped a few days ago but this side of him was…attractive.
“Can I tell you something?”
“I don’t know if it’s too soon to tell you this, especially considering you were dumped a few days ago..”
“But I..I’ve been meaning to tell you something.”
Okay now this is really weird.
“I think you’re the most beautiful woman I’ve laid my eyes on, and to think some ungrateful prick wasted such a good opportunity with someone like you pisses me off to say the least.”
You smirked and nodded your head with your soft reply.
“Well, I was wondering if you wanna go out with me. I know it might be too soon and honestly…I don’t care I’m willing to take it slow with you.”
“Well, you’re right, it is too soon.”
“But if you’re willing to take it slow, well then so am I.”
“Really?! I mean- pshh I knew you would say that.”
He tried playing it cool with shrug. That was until you leaned over and kissed his cheek.
“Yes, but I mean really slow, like sloooow. That breakup hurt me a lot.”
He hugged you and looked up at you.
“Why would I waste a chance like this with you, y/n?”
