Obsession (2026), but it's Butters who makes the wish and Cartman now loves Butters more than anyone else in the world!
SOUTH PARK x CHECKMATE
Loosely based on the BL manhwa Checkmate, Cartman lives with his mother in South Park, has a long history of being fired and failed projects. He currently works as the town photographer and all his friends have moved away.
He keeps in touch only with Kenny, convincing himself that he doesn't miss his friends, especially that red-haired Jew. But he keeps counting the days since the kid from New Jersey ran away from South Park without looking back after graduating. He has completely lost track of her and thinks he is drowning more and more.
Everything changes when a rising basketball star emerges. Cartman abandons everything to study journalism with the sole purpose of annoying Nemesis, while creating a fan blog dedicated solely to Kyle. Becoming the president of the fan club of basketball player Kyle Broflovski.

Buttman/Cartters...this song (He's my man)... Yandere Au...
BUTTTT not with the normal version of the song, the anniversary version...I would like to have civilized conversation about this with anyone that's willing to talk about it...
What an interesting idea!
Does Butters sing the "He's my man" part? Because I would change this part of the song: "I wish he didn't have to go to work." By....
I wish he didn't have to go with his friends.
Because Cartman keeps spending time with Kyle, Stan, and Kenny while Butters is left behind. And Cartman is still obsessed with Kyle, so a lovestruck Butters can't be happy at all.
But I love that it's not one-sided, because Cartman sings "I'm your man." Everyone else might reject or ignore Butters, but Cartman loves him. He's his accomplice, his partner in crime, his best friend, and his emotional support. Cartman has humiliated and mistreated him repeatedly, and yet Butters keeps coming back to him. One day everyone might get tired of Cartman and abandon him, but Butters never will. Butters is his.
OMG, you're actually a genius...
Warning for extremely long paragraphs
But what I was thinking was, Butters would be the yandere since he needs Eric more than Eric needs Butters, but that doesn't mean Eric doesn’t need Butters too. For example, after the Awesome-o episode, even after Butters humiliated him, he continued to involve him in his plans, and also, every time Butters laughs at him, he doesn't say anything, even though he would yell at or take revenge on anyone who did that.
To me, Eric sees Butters as someone he can trust and be vulnerable with, and in this AU, Butters takes advantage of that to manipulate him into staying with him forever by convincing him that others are out to get him, and considering that Eric trusts Butters a lot, he would probably believe it, since "Butters is the only person I can trust, he would never do that to me.”
And although Eric is an expert manipulator, I don't think that means he can't be manipulated himself.
As an extra note, I think Butters wouldn't kill people excessively if he were a Yandere, since he would put on his "innocent facade" to manipulate people, and when that doesn't work, that's when he kills them.
Thank you for sharing this with me, I love talking about Buttman! :)
(Sorry if there’s any spelling mistakes, I’m using a translator XD)
I'm using a translator too, since I speak Spanish! 🤣🤣
Yandere Butters is the best! The real wolf in sheep's clothing.
I have to mention that Butters convinced Eric that girls hate them, and that ruined Cartman and Heidi's relationship. So I think your idea is so brilliant and spot on!
Cartman trusts Butters because he sees him as naive, something he can control, and that's why I find it so delightful that Butters takes advantage of that. It's also important to note that Cartman is quite paranoid and constantly thinks his friends are plotting to harm him—especially Kyle!
Butters would just be exploiting Cartman's insecurities! Because deep down Cartman knows that he is not very loved, that he is hated, but he lives in constant denial.
I always had the feeling that in "He's My Man," the girl is drugging or poisoning her husband so he won't leave her. All under the guise of "he's happier with me." But Butters manipulates and even murders to keep Cartman by his side because being with Cartman makes him feel loved, validated, and powerful. He can never get his parents' approval; nothing is ever good enough for Linda and Stoch since they are always looking for ways to punish him. But he can get Cartman's approval.
YEEEESSSS!! EXACTLY!!
I also love how most people think Butters is the Yandere, since Eric is too egocentric. I'm not saying he wouldn't kill for the people he cares about, but for me, he's not the type of person who would kill for love. He would simply convince himself that the person he likes is stupid for not wanting to be with him. Not saying that him killing for a crush is straight up not possible, just unlikely.
Butters as a Yandere would be very interesting to explore! Imagine how he would manipulate others, for example, by creating rumors to further ruin Eric's reputation with his friends, which will be difficult to do, since no matter what Eric does, his friends always stick around for a reason. So he would have to find something super precious and personal to use against them!
Ngl, this inspired me to make my own Cartters/Buttman Yandere AU 🤣✌️
DEFINITELY!!! Cartman is many things, but not a Yandere. I think he'd be a Stalker.
Okay. But imagine Butters gathers evidence of Cartman's bullying and sends it to the boys' parents?!
I'm going to kiss your brain, I love the Cartters/Buttman Yandere! 🤣

Do you think there were Aegons before the Conqueror. Were there a whole like 20 little blond bitches named Aegon back in Valyria that we just don’t know about. What percentage of Valyria’s population was men named Aegon and women named some variation of Rhaena I think it had to have been at least 75%
don’t even get me STARTED on the Visenyas and the Viseryses and the Aemons and the Aemonds and the Rhaegars. And Aenys, fucking Aenys.
Aegon naming his son after buttholes he may as well have taped a paper onto him saying “PLEASE kill my son”
House Targaryen deserved to be overthrown if for nothing else then for their heinous naming conventions. And don’t think I’m letting the Starks get away with naming every other son Brandon. The Red Wedding was justified
There was at least one Aegon Targaryen before the Conqueror! He was the son of Daenys the Dreamer and her brother-husband Gaemon the Glorious. I agree that Valyria was almost certainly full of Aegons and Rhaenas and other Ae- Rhae- Dae- Jae- Vis- -gon -mon -ron -rys names. Like there was a non-Targaryen Valyrian named Jaenara and also an Aurion and an Ayrmidion and yeah, Aenys is probably the worst of them. Though there's some other very weird potential combinations... like Baegel, lol.
But at least this (and the Starks' Brandons and Ly- girls and the Lannisters' Ty-s and J-s and Cer-s and jock boys and myth girls) makes for pretty consistent worldbuilding! Like you hear a first name and often you can pretty much guess what house they belong to. And just remember, it could always be worse.
Is Aenys pathetic because he has that name, or does Aenys have that name because he is pathetic?🤔
Where do you think Jaehaerys' misoginy comes from? Have it always been there? Was it learnt? During the beggining of his reign we didn't saw him have such demeanor, he even let Alyssane to rule when he was absent, accepted her advices and passed some of her laws
so when men grow up in deeply misogynistic societies including the one we live in now they internalize those values (women also do this but that’s not what i am talking about right now.) Jaehaerys’ misogyny is malignant but it’s also typical of the society he lives in which is an indictment of that society. Insofar that it’s specific to him I think he might have developed some fucked up ideas about gender, power, and control from his father aenys being criticized for being too weak all the time plus his mother making decisions for him as his regent plus the maegor of it all.
jaehaerys respected women insofar that they were female relatives willing to agree with him about everything and act as extensions of himself. his mother says that he can’t marry his sister? hand her back to her abusive husband she’s out of control. daughters expressing desire for any sexual or romantic autonomy? banished. him being willing to take some of alysanne’s advice when she is trying to persuade him as gently as possible doesn’t mean he’s not a misogynist because she’s also not allowed to hard disagree with him. He is never willing to budge on letting a daughter or granddaughter inherit, he is never willing to budge on Alysanne literally begging him to stop getting her pregnant, even though he knows that his mom died in childbirth at her same age. I feel like the fact that he does not respect women and is the reason why all of the women in his life suffer pretty horribly is pretty clear and textual.
This is very good! I'm glad to see this post, because I was thinking about this a lot after the first one. I see a lot of banging on in the fandom that's merely indignant "I don't like him" criticism of Jaehaerys being a misogynist, which -- yeah, sure, he is, and any individual fan is entitled to feel however they want to about that and post that criticism and so on.
But to what end is he a misogynist, in story terms, and how did he get that way? What's the point of writing him that way in his private life, insofar as he has one? He wasn't really raised by men, per se, so the misogyny is indeed primarily reflective of the culture he lives in. (Something something about "do fish notice water?" -- but the women like Alysanne and Saera sure notice it.) He's the big patriarch of the Targaryen family (and the king, also a figuratively patriarchal position), in a patriarchal culture, though having a lot of children and being sure his daughters are married off still doesn't really salvage the succession in the long run. It does seem like he's "just following norms" or "just doing what's right" in his mind -- but he is the same guy who insists on marrying his sister and cooks up the Doctrine of Exceptionalism, which is definitely not a norm, and his treatment of Saera is extremely harsh. If I was able to ask GRRM some direct questions, I wouldn't waste them on Jaehaerys "Alysanne Dumped Him Twice" Targaryen, but I do kind of wonder about a hypothetical situation where he's raised in a more masculine environment -- is he even more overtly misogynistic?
In any case, my take is that GRRM uses Jaehaerys's misogyny at least partly as a plot device to hint at exactly how well the culture is going to take a female heir a few generations later. GRRM is doing other things with Jaehaerys too: the books portray a lot of scenarios where people find it very difficult to balance being a successful leader with being a successful parent (and only a very few where the balance seems to be achieved). Sometimes they manage one and fail at one, sometimes they favor one child and fail another, sometimes they're terrible at both leadership and parenting, etc -- and this is by both Westerosi/Watsonian standards and the reader's/Doylian standards. Jaehaerys isn't the only one with a problem in that department, but he's notable.
I think the fact that he was crowned King influenced his decision, even though Rhaena's daughters existed and had a better claim than he did. Jaehaerys was chosen over Aerea because he was a man, and that definitely sent the wrong message.
And deep down he felt threatened by the idea of a woman on the Iron Throne because then he would be just like Maegor: a brother who stole the throne from a nephew.
On the other hand, I don't think Jaehaerys meant any harm when he sent Alyssa to her husband. From her perspective, her mother was distraught over that fight she had with the Baratheon and Baratheon still had a duty to his wife, so he intervened.
For me, the first red flag was when Jaehaerys left the decision of saving the baby or the mother in the hands of the Baratheon. Because that shows that Jaehaerys believed men had a right over women's lives. It shows that he saw women as men's property.
"Every inn in the city is full, and the whores are walking bowlegged and jingling with each step."
Lord Renly laughed. "We're fortunate my brother Stannis is not with us. Remember the time he proposed to outlaw brothels? The king asked him if perhaps he'd like to outlaw eating, shitting, and breathing while he was at it. If truth be told, I oft-times wonder how Stannis ever got that ugly daughter of his. He goes to his marriage bed like a man marching to a battlefield, with a grim look in his eyes and a determination to do his duty."
Ned had not joined the laughter. "I wonder about your brother Stannis as well. I wonder when he intends to end his visit to Dragonstone and resume his seat on this council."
—A Game of Thrones, Eddard VI
Maekar should sleep with Baelor and all his problems would be solved. Of course, that only works if he's the Top.
Maekar's problem is that he feels inferior to his brother; he hates that his brother is so damn perfect.
So, if Maekar could reduce Baelor to a bunch of whining and begging to be penetrated by his little brother's big penis... well, let's just say that would do wonders for Maekar's self-esteem.
Okay, but what was Raymun going to say about Egg?
That he's rebellious? That he's a master of lies? Come on, what kind of rumors can circulate about a little kid?
Why did Maekar make Egg Daeron's squire? I think Maekar believed Daeron would be much more responsible if he had his little brother under his care.
What do you think?
"He's My Man" from Egg's POV:
From a feudal perspective, Dunk is Egg's man because Duncan the Tall swore his sword to King Aegon V.
We're hand in hand, to hell and back. They've been together for over forty years. They've walked side by side and survived countless adventures, rebellions, political intrigues, and losses.
And I love him like nobody else can. Egg sees Dunk in a way no one else does. He met him when Dunk had nothing and no one expected anything from him. And Egg supported Dunk every step of the way. They forged a path together.
I've been damned because Egg grows up to become King Aegon V, and the freedom he once shared with Dunk is lost. Suddenly, they are both men who must fulfill their roles in the kingdom, with all that entails: the weight, the obligations, the hierarchy...
No, nobody has to understand. Egg always knew what he wanted and didn't ask for permission. There will be people who will never understand why Aegon gave up a life of privilege to accompany a hedge knight on his adventures or why he promoted said knight to the highest position within the kingsguard.
Based on this message, I think Aerion and Egg would be Team Black. But Aerion would hate Jace because he reminds him so much of his perfect cousin. Egg would be Daemon's number one hater because of the blood and cheese thing and because he cheated on Nyra.
Aerion would tease Egg about Jace being a bastard, and Egg would protest furiously: "His hero would never be a bastard!"
Aegon III and Viserys II grew up way too fast. It's like Aegon III was already the head of his company (actually, the damn King) at 17, widowed, and remarried. And it's like Viserys II had a stable job and was a family man at 15.
Now, imagine for a moment that these two boys are transported to a modern AU. Their entire family is alive! Yessss! And suddenly, they have to deal with the fact that they aren't the ultimate authority, that they're just kids whose only responsibility is going to school and making friends. And they have to deal with worried, overprotective parents and siblings who don't understand why Aegon III is so depressed and why Viserys II is a mini-politician with some babysitting skills.

All I know is that when Duncan Targaryen abdicated the throne, all the dark-haired Targaryens were furious.
They all died before reaching the throne or were denied the right to it.
And Duncan simply abdicated and then died.
