Landed the Job & SS4 is Canon – Best Day Ever!

I got out of work at 2:00 AM in the morning to get ready for an interview that I could have missed. I requested a few hours of PTO to leave work early so I could sleep a little before my interview at 11:00 AM. When I got home, I parked outside the house and watched a couple of TikToks—one about Dragon Ball Daima and the new episode that might break the internet with Goku SS4 being canon and the leaks. I was pretty excited about it, but I had to go in, take a sleeping pill, and go straight to bed.
I got home, brushed my teeth, got ready, and hopped in bed with Vanessa and Coco, who jumped on the bed a few minutes later. After being in bed naked for a bit, I heard a loud bang coming from the backyard. I got up instantly, grabbed a flashlight, and looked out the window to see if it was anyone. It even woke Vanessa up, and she looked outside with me. Maybe the noise came from somewhere else because we didn’t see anything. I went back to bed and passed out. I don’t even remember when Vanessa left for work—I was so tired.
I roughly got about five hours of sleep before my alarm went off on my phone, then Alexa! At 8:00 AM, I kept snoozing the alarm—5, 10, 15 minutes—until it was 9:15 AM. I woke up on my own and said, Oh shit! I have to get ready and head out to my interview! I rushed to the shower, got dressed, and, to my surprise, Vanessa was pulling in early—she wasn’t feeling well. I was surprised she was home. I asked if she was okay and told her if she wanted to go to the interview with me. She said sure, so we took off together, and I drove.
We got a little lost looking for the main building, but I made it with about 45 minutes to spare. Vanessa dropped me off and took over driving. I headed into the building for my interview, called the guy, and told him I was there and ready. He said he would come for me at 11:00 AM on the dot. I waited for about 30 minutes and had the nervous poops! I took a massive jumbo dump, and I felt so much better—the nerves were going away.
Finally, a tall, white, distinguished gentleman came to pick me up for the interview. Three people were part of the interview: the hiring manager, an RN, and her assistant. I got a little nervous, but I think I nailed the interview! I really hammered in communication, tolerance, and providing exceptional customer service and pointed it out in my performance review. They stumped me on a couple of questions, but I recovered.
I won’t go into exact details, but there were 12 questions—two of them were problem-solving—and I mainly discussed my experience. My final question to them was, What would I need to brush up on to be better at the job coming in, and what would you say is the most difficult part of the job? They said I have the experience to handle the job and that maybe the clerical aspect of it might be the most difficult part. I said I was willing and capable of doing all those things and that I’m pretty adept at it.
The interview ended, and we shook hands. I said thank you for the opportunity and called Vanessa right away to tell her how it went! She was parked in a large parking structure next to the building. I was about to cross the middle of the street when a security guard asked me not to and to be careful, so I listened to her politely.
While talking to Vanessa on the way home (she was driving), I got a call—not even 15 minutes after the interview! It was the same gentleman who interviewed me, and he told me I was hired for the position! I was ecstatic! I was so relieved, nervous, and tired—I was just happy. I texted Mom, Dad, everyone that I got the job! I was like, Wow, that was quick! and wondered why they gave me the job so fast. How many applicants applied for the position?
I’m ready for a new job, new opportunities, and—more importantly—going back to school. My internal clock is telling me that I’m old and need to do something with my life because I’m middle-aged and about to die! I want to be good at something.
We went straight home because Vanessa needed to use the restroom, then visited my parents to tell them the good news! After that, we went to get some sushi close to home to celebrate. We also received some of our flex credits back—we were at the brink of being broke with only $100 left in our account, and now we had about $400! So, we treated ourselves to sushi.
I always get the jumbo sautéed shrimp with a crunchy roll, and Vanessa got some sashimi, rolls, and edamame—things we ate up! After eating, we talked about going to Best Buy but decided just to go home and rest. Vanessa and I took an hour-long nap in bed together.
I reminded her that if I got the job, she promised to give me her entire body and that I could do as I pleased! I jumped on her and groped her all over—I couldn’t get my hands off her. She tastes and smells so good! She laughed, giggled, and pushed me away until we finally fell asleep.
I woke up to a phone call from the recruiter—I had missed the first call, but I called her back. She congratulated me again for the position and was just as excited as I was! I asked her, How many people did I beat out? She said a bunch! and that I should be proud of it. I was! I was so excited—and nervous again! I thought, Dang, I gotta study! Refresh myself! I have just one month before I start the new job.
Vanessa got up and started cooking while I kept telling friends about the job. She made ground beef and rice, and we ate together in the living room—it was delicious!
Oh, before that, Vanessa and I watched the newest episode of Dragon Ball Daima, where Vegeta transforms into SS3 and Goku SS4 is now canon! It was glorious, and I’m so excited for the next episode!
I got a new job and SS4 is canon—the best day ever!
Oh, Vanessa is on her period, so we didn’t do anything fun. 😭
I took a shower, got ready for work, and started working on this blog.
