I have made this top twice because it was way too big the first time so I frogged it..... and I think I'm gonna again, because it's slightly too small now and I know I probably won't wear it

The cute lace & cable motif is on either side, under where the arm holes will be. It's super cute tho one part of it was kind of annoying to figure out how to do because I kept gaining stitches and it took me a while to figure out why

It really didn't take that long so I'm not too fussed about starting over again

Knitting finished as of last night! Still need to weave in a few ends, wash, and block.

Was aiming for 48” x 60”, came out 39” x 60” so far, but I’m hoping to be able to block it to a little wider and I’m ok losing a few inches of length for that

Warp is a mix of crepe wool (kindof peacock coloured (forest green with colourful spots)) and undyed cotton, weft is crepe wool and cream coloured wool blend

Molten Lava on Gotland Roving - 22 oz / 624 g

I’m always surprised by how the type of wool and the preparation of said wool changes how the dyes will uptake a certain colorway.

This is the same colorway that I used on the Perendale lamb fleece. While the saturation is fairly well the same, Gotland loves taking up dye, the black brown didn’t go as dark on the Gotland roving as it did the Perendale.

It still came out lovely though. I drum carded one of the 28g/1 oz braids and as always Gotland roving delivers a delightfully slinky batt.

My first heavily beaded piece in ages! (Since probably August of last year.)

I am so in love with how it turned out. I think this is a good piece to demonstrate the versatility of tatting and lace stylistically.

Unfortunately I am not as fast as Elewys, and it takes me a solid 50 minutes to work through the pattern one full repeat and have something presentable at the end

Wish I had more green yarn. I have like 0 green yarn even though it's one of my favorite colors
