I maintained this week. Was expecting a gain so I’m pleased with that. I need to get my act together though because January has basically been a complete waste of time slimming wise. Ah well, onward and upwards!

M A I N T A I N ! ————————————————– After a couple of weeks off my game, I’ve come in with a maintain today. I also bought a 12 week countdown and now I’m determined to smash every weigh in from now until 22nd April! My Slimming world diaries are from @fox_and_moon and have space for counting syns and recording your Healthy Extras. I think they’re gosh darn fabulous. Can’t wait to use them!! ————————————————–

Stuck in a Rut.

I can’t seem to pass the 12 stone (168lbs, 76kg) mark. This has happened to me before; I get there and then I yo-yo up and down for months on end until I give up entirely.

For me it started just before Christmas. I’d got all of the way down to 11 stone 10lbs (164lbs, 74kg) and was doing well; I’d not had a maintain, I’d not had a gain. Then we went on holiday to Brussels and despite every intention of trying to be somewhat healthy, there was Haagen Daas and waffles. 

I’d felt so guilty about my over indulging that I didn’t go to weigh in that week. Then all of a sudden it was Christmas and I had two holidays booked so I didn’t go to weigh in then either. Once the New Year arrived, I’d gained 4lbs and so the yo-yoing began.

I was optimistic about a 4lb gain, it wasn’t that bad for 4 weeks off. I had an amazing week following that and lost 3lb. But then the following week, I’d pretty much just put it all back on again. Admittedly, I’d changed from a Friday morning weigh in to a Tuesday evening.

But I just can’t stop craving terrible food. I want to eat ALL of the carbs, and whilst I’m not a carb avoider, I know I shouldn’t be eating bucket loads of pasta and rice. 

And I know I shouldn’t have done it but I weighed myself on Saturday to see how I was doing this week. I do this quite a lot simply because I can’t appreciate how I can eat so much food and not lose weight. Well anyway, not 1 single pound had budged. I recognise that I still had a few days to go at this point but it was somewhat disheartening. I guess I should follow the rules and not weigh at home.

I’m worried at this point that the weight will just stick around 12 stone (168lbs, 76kg) like it always has and then I’ll just get bored and shoot up to my top weight again.

So, I’ve got a Slimming Planner from Fox and Moon and from Wednesday (just because it’s the first of my week from weigh in to weigh in) I’m going to keep a strict record of what goes into my gob.

Keep your fingers crossed for me.
