thinking about william dying in those woods, and forgetting his body there

thinking about when he leaves deadwood and goes missing, they find his mangled, rotting body at the bottom of that cliff, and the rest of the upp have to process him being dead

or, worse, see an au where he goes back to them. where he stays in deadwood and tries to pretend he never died, like nothing happened, and then months and months later his body his found.

see him running after that, and the upps trying to find out who they've been talking to for months if william's been dead in the woods.

or his body being so rotted and eaten by animals that they can't identify it, and the rest of the upp is talking about the body that was found by some hikers and he's trying not to visibly freak out in front of them or lose control of his abilities

wild how will is the one most in... denial? not quite the right word. he's the one who least considers death as a possible outcome, at least in the canon we see. whether that's him being very fifteen about it or him being too scared to consider it as a (very likely!) thing that can happen or a combination thereof.

anyways wild how it's only just now as of 2.2/2.3 that he's really starting to understand how close death is coming to them and reacting accordingly and also he's the only one whose death has been known from the very beginning.
