Relaxed cowboys bring me joy
This is a combination that didn't turn out well at all. Looks like my pups threw up on a mug. The glazes reacted ok on the inside though.
I'm a little underwhelmed with this one. I was hoping for a bright purple instead of blue, and more of it. But I still like it.
I'm really pleased with how this one turned out. I'm definitely going to use this glaze combo again.

Porcelain pinch teapot
I love Hanzo Shimada
Can you tell? Lol. Anyone who knows me knows this all too well. In case anyone doubted my feelings, I made a bowl based on his tattoo.
"Coffee, coffee who wants coffee! Am I being too loud"
Happy Kaidan Week!!
I made a Kaidan mug for a friend. I thought these 3 symbols summed him up pretty well.
Lots of glazing issues. I'll have to run a few food safe tests and may have to remake it if it's to be used for anything other than a pencil holder lol.
(Ignore the blue blob on the bottom, it's redacted)

Happy National Day of the Cowboy!
Here's a pixelated Jesse McCree I made to celebrate my beautiful cowboy imaginary husband.
Thanks to @nightmarestudio606 , I can't stop imagining him half naked and bringing me cookies 😆.
I know it's late, Cowboy day was 7/27. But real life, color/value matching issues, lack of time management skills, and tequila conspired against me. (And 6400 tiny plastic squares are murder when you have arthritis, lol)
My McCree mug is finally finished!
It came out looking a little worse for wear. But isn't that part of the cowboy aesthetic? So, I'm going to pretend it was all intentional distressing.
Long technical explanations I learned a lot about what not to do with these glazes. And dust is bad. lol. Ceramics are a pain to photograph, but the last pic best shows the brass color.
WIPmas
I thought I’d share another WIP. I’m almost finished painting it, then it’s off to firing.
My Hanzo bowl
I’m sure it’s no surprise to most of you that I love love love Hanzo Shimada. I also love combining my two favorite things - ceramics and video games.
WIP - McCree mug
Another WIP post. I’ve been working on a few Overwatch pieces. This is BY FAR my favorite. I really REALLY love my BAMF cowboy husband, Jesse McCree. My real life husband thinks this mug is for him… I assure you, it is not.
It’ll be a few weeks probably before it’s glazed. I’m waiting on special bullet test tiles to be fired. I REALLY don’t want to fuck this up on the last step, lol
It’s finally finished!
I learned a lot with this mug about how the glazes behave, how many coats to use, etc. Next one will be even better (and bigger, lol)! But all in all, I’m really excited about it.
Maybe I’ll mix up a green apple martini tonight and say it’s ryncol 😆
It’s pretty wild how you meet some of the most awesome people through a fandom. I can say I am very blessed to count @sweet-ree as my friend. Can you believe she made this? It’s so friggen awesome I can’t even deal right now, thank you so much <3
Van Gogh’s The Starry Night Underglaze (on a really messy, cracked, ceramic cube I made)
Butterflies and dragonflies underglaze on ceramic . Doing multiple coats of paint on tiny lines is a pain.
Happy National Day of the Cowboy!
Jesse McCree, my cowboy husband, drawn from a screenshot I took. I am absolutely not much of a drawer. So, I had to cheat a little. I just REALLY wanted to make something for cowboy day (7/28). I am working on a ceramic BAMF mug but it won’t be finished in time.
So celebrate your favorite cowboys and their traditions! Break out the hats, the chaps, and the spurs if you got ‘em.
–Ok, for the sake of honesty… I traced the outline of the back of his hand, the bridge of his nose, the earlobe, one sweep in his hat, and made little reference dots for his mouth, fingertips, bits of his hair and stuff. Basically the hard parts. lol. But I filled it in freehand, occasionally checking against the original to make sure I wasn’t WAY off track. I know, that’s a lot, but I usually work with clay or paper, not pencil and ink.–
This was a gift for my mom. While I am happy to have it back, I wish she was still here to enjoy it. Underglaze on white stoneware.
Images from a coloring book I can’t find.
