Roughly two semesters away from my Bachelors in Chemical Engineering. My graduating class is almost 80 people and I’m the only Black American in it. Of course I feel proud, but I feel more saddened. For two centuries we’ve had zero representation among the stem related fields, I want to work in industry, but I also feel the need to help people of color realize the possibilities. I hope I can do both!
