What if... after they split up on the mountain
Geralt heard Jaskier's new hit song?
The Burned Butcher's Grief follows Geralt through the five stages of grief as he comes to terms with the end of their friendship.
Chapter 2 is out: If Geralt were in therapy, we wouldn’t have this chapter. Instead, Geralt fights a fire elemental instead of dealing with his feelings, and it goes about as well as you'd expect.
Added Chapter 3: Geralt: “I don’t care.” Also Geralt: fights a fire elemental, argues with an alderman, mentally duels a bard he hasn’t seen in months, and contemplates dying in a ditch. Totally fine. Not bothered at all.
Chapter 4 is up!
Geralt takes a relaxing bath in a freezing stream, eats a gourmet meal of regret and sausage, and tenderly self-medicates with emotional repression. It’s called healing. Look it up.
Final chapter today! Geralt doesn’t go back. He goes forward—with a scar on his shoulder, a song in his head, and a memory he refuses to burn. Many thanks for following along. It means so much to be able to share my story and hopefully create something for people to enjoy!
