A series of events:

1. I put in an Annual Leave request form almost 3 weeks ago and my boss has not approved it yet

2. I went into my office today and replaced every single writing utensil with crayons in preparation for April Fools Day on Monday

3. Whilst searching for pens to remove, I found my unsigned Annual Leave form in my boss’s drawer

4. I placed my unsigned Annual Leave form in a photo frame and put in on his desk

5. The frame I used was from a photo of his kids that I deemed less important than my Leave form

6. My boss sometimes goes into the office on Saturdays to work

ok i know i JUST SAID that i wasn’t gonna read the pitchfork reviews but i caved and read the fearless one because 1. it’s my favourite album and 2. the review was by a female author named hazel, which was my grandma’s name, so i automatically trusted her just a little bit more than the average person. but anyway this part made me fucking CRY:

“On her self-titled debut, Swift established herself as a precocious storyteller who could write love songs vague and ageless enough that anyone might find herself in them, perhaps to prove to Nashville that a teen could do it. Her second album, Fearless, is a rebuke to that approach, with Swift bringing listeners straight to the dreaded football-game bleachers and mean-girl maze of high school. She took her teen self seriously and demanded others do the same, navigating the cloying innocence of a girl who simultaneously experiences relationships like a dog-eared Nicholas Sparks novel and also has the wisdom to know that not all kisses end in a rainstorm.”

‘she took her teen self seriously and demanded others do the same’ is one of my favourite things that’s ever been written about taylor. that one sentence perfectly encapsulates why i love fearless so much. fearless is very much an album that only a 17-18 year old girl could ever have written. it’s PROUD of that. and grammy voters decided it was the best album that was put out in its year of release.

teenage girls are often negatively stereotyped as being too emotional and too romantic and too MUCH, and taylor refusing to apologise for any of this had such a profound influence on me as a teenager that i can’t even put it into words right now. i will always be so grateful that taylor recognised the magic in teenage girls and gave me, and so many other young women, that freedom to embrace the parts of ourselves that so many people tried to teach us to hate 🥺

JDoh was so amazing as Lo, he gave life and color to such an iconic character and he should be proud he made such an impact in the pantheon of television finest. From an ‘obligatory psychotic jackass’ to a Byronic (anti) hero, from a tragic hero to a true hero and a stabilizing influence, Logan Echolls had an amazing journey, quipping and growing despite all the tragedy that has befallen on him and working to become the man Veronica deserves (even though she would often be undeserving of him).

After all of that, after being central figure in one of the most compelling story ‘arcs’ (with its ups and downs, never negating characters core, just upgrading on it), they ‘fridged’ him to further main heroine’s suffering and distrust in people. Mere hours after their wedding.

I AM LIVID AT Rob Thomas! The thing I am most livid about is how they (he and hulu) used LoVe story and Logan’s good looks to be the main focus of the promotion of the revival. So, they knew what they were doing. They lulled us into a false safety just so they could do this to us. They betrayed our trust for the sake of their (LoVe free) eventual 5th season, jaded Veronica solving crime on the road or some shit like that.

And for that betrayal, they have lost many marshmallows who have waited 15 years, invested their time, money and resources, including me.
