jensen would be so confused but misha would get what the questions are about and go "no, the poem isn't about him" and then jensen'd go "what poem?" and misha would go "there is a poem about me going camping with a "friend"" and jensen'd go "what does "friend" mean?" "oh you know, we made out a couple of times. don't worry, he was gentle" and jensen'd go "HE?" and misha'd turn around and go "does anyone want to ask the next question? Please do! Now!"

the panel would be over and they'd go backstage and jensen'd start tailing misha asking who it was. and misha would find jensen's irritation HILARIOUS and say he's not gonna say who, that's not respectful to the other person. jensen would continue to follow him around and revert to naming specific people "Was it Rich?" "Was it Rob?" "Was it ..... JDM????" and misha'd roll his eyes and go "no jensen, I didn't sleep with your man crush" and jesen would look away a bit embarassed but then he'd look back at misha, HORRIFIED "Was it Jared?" and before Misha would be able to answer Jared would show up goin' "Yo what's up?" and Jensen would turn on his heels to face him and with very serious face ask "Did you sleep with Misha?" and Jared would go "Wha?" and jensen would squint at him nostrils flaring "YOU HAVE WEAK KNEED AND YOU BOUGHT A NEW CAR IN 2010 IT ALL ADDS UP!" and would storm off.

Jensen x JDM is a pairing that is pretty well known deep in the dumpster.

Shipping and sexuality

Basically shipping is wishing or supporting two people in a relationship together. This can be sexual, romantic or platonic. You can ship any person with another person. Whether they are or will be together in real life or canonically is irrelevant to the act of shipping. So shipping two people and believing they are together are technically two seperate things even though many ships are a combination of both.. does that make sense? This also means it is possible to ship two straight males for example.

Jensen x JDM specifically:

“even though JDM is straight” We don't know their sexualities. We can guess what their sexualities are and aren’t, but we'll never 100% know..

Jensen x JDM shipping has been a thing for a long time. Sometimes it becomes a bit of a hot topic and then it sort of disappears into the background until it becomes a hot topic again. But those two have quite some interesting dynamics and it hasn't gone unnoticed.

JDM and Jensen are close in real life. JDM met his wife through Jensen+Danneel, Jensen was the Pastor at their wedding, they visit each other's homes, etc etc.

Most of the Shellers are poly friendly or believe in the poly theory. The latter acknowledges that Jensen+Danneel and/or Misha+Vicki are or have been in poly relationships, hence the possibility of multiple partners at once (depending on the polycule/agreements). And even if one relationship is real, it doesn't mean the other one isn't. So, their other relationships do not invalidate Cockles. (In that regard, the Poly Cockles Truthers are on a pretty unsinkable ship, lol)

Even to those who have known for a while, the news is shocking. Maybe it was the way he just said it, or the timing. We guessed the book would address the separation and tried to mentally prepare ourselves but apparently.. weren't prepared at all 😂

But remember:

It was a decision they didn't make lightly and was probably the best solution for their situation. Separation is often viewed as a negative thing because of the emotions it brings at first. But in many cases it can also be a "good" thing. A step to make both parties be able to move in the different directions their lives take them in. Misha has struggled with it quite a lot and he was in a bad place for a while, but he is on his way to finding peace and it shows. The fact that he told the world and he lets us peek into his mind with his book is a privilege for us. Please be aware that he gives this to us while he doesn't have to. Do not make a giant deal out of it on twitter or instagram and respect both his and Vicki's choices. No matter how much you may grieve the separation, voicing any negative opinions about it to him is only going to hurt and not change the situation. It is OK to grieve. Your feelings are valid. But, as the lovely @lovelesscupcake said: "what we feel is our grieve not his". Please take care, talk to your friends or come chat with us, try and come to terms with it, hydrate and breathe!

OH MY GOD this was my question!! I’ll never forget it 😅 and I got in trouble by the way! Creation pulled me aside later and told me I shouldn’t have asked that. But it was Misha’s fault. If anyone wants the full story lmk!

Okay so first of all, when you’re picked to ask a question at a con, you wait in line and when it’s your turn, you tell your question to a creation volunteer first for approval. So I did, it got approved, and I asked the question. And if you watch the linked video, you saw how it went down.

People ask me why I kept trying to quiet him, and it was because 1. I was REALLY nervous. And 2. I was trying not to get in trouble because you’re really not supposed to ask “shipping” questions. As you can tell by my blog, I ship Destiel. And I ship cockles but not in the way that I’d ever feel comfortable talking to Misha about, which is why I was so scared when he started talking about it.

So a few hours later, still at the con, the creation volunteer who had approved my question comes up to me and is like “hey, you got me in trouble. You should not have asked that question. No shipping questions are allowed, and I shouldn’t have let you ask it. Please never do this again.” And I was like… “that was all Misha, not me. Please don’t blame me for it!”

So then I go to Misha’s autograph and we’re talking, joking around, and just before I leave, I say, “hey, by the way you got me and that creation volunteer in trouble for answering my question the way you did.”

AND THIS MOTHERFUCKER

Winks at me.

And says “you’re welcome”

Do you have any obscure cockles lore that most people/newer people in the cockles fandom might not know?

I don't know how "obscure" it is, but something that I hardly ever see people talk about, but something that makes me lose my got-damn-mind whenever I think about it too long, is something that Jensen once said at a con. I can't remember if it was the one in Hawaii or maybe it was a JIB a few years back, but he said that he and Misha would often go for drives together between shoots, and that was "their time" to talk and get really deep about things.

Just think about that for a second ... think about the reality of that situation ... Jensen and Misha, just driving around on their own so they can talk deeply and intimately and quietly without the craziness of the set, without the chaos of filming (and without Jared's constant bull-in-a-china-shop mentality). They would seek out that tranquility together and get away from it all. I mean ... do you understand how "coupley" that is? Do you get how close they'd have to be for that to be something they'd do on the regular? And to think ... now they're so far apart and can't go on their drives anymore ...

I am crying.

No wonder Jensen lit up so brightly during that last Gish panel-- it was like they were in the car again, chatting and relaxing ... just him and his Mish.
