Ceryse Hightower hc’s
- her mother was a Lannister
- she was heir before marrying Maegor and then her cousin became Lord when her father died, she had two brothers but both passed as children.
- she was very educated and well spoken, Alyssa canonically called her “haughty” and i think she very much was, Kingslanding was just in development and Ceryse was from the grandest city in Westeros, i think she saw Kingslanding as beneath her as well as the marriage.
- being from the largest city she knew how to play the court game and was very popular especially when they first married. she might not have liked Kingslanding much but she did enjoy court.
- Ceryse was a handsome woman with sharp striking features, she was also tall. golden blonde hair and deep blue eyes. she also had a deeper voice.
- she never cowered from Maegor no matter how cruel he got. she was never cowed by Visenya either.
- she actually had a relatively friendly relationship with Aenys and Alyssa hated it, so did Maegor.
- Aegon liked her as a daughter in law.
- Maegor never loved her but he did respect her for a time, she was smart and beautiful but he could feel her disdain for him. i think he always had a desire to prove he was good enough for her and him going to Old Town to reclaim her was part of that. it wasn’t until their last year that he got physical with her.
- she was the one to organise the funeral rights for Alys and her son, she was the only person in the keep who bothered to pay their respects.
- she tried to warn Maegor multiple times about Tyanna but it would only anger him so she gave up and basically just kept her space as much as she could.
