Hello there! So I just wanna say that I loved OUATIB. I read it in 2 days, went to bed at 5am and 3am bc GOD so good ! I was wondering if you'd consider writing a piece, even short, about the snow white kiss? I'd love the gang to talk abt first kiss, Magnus bragging about theirs and Alec being all "well that's not really accurate.." I know it's very specific, and u probably don't want to, but I <3 this fic so much it would be the greatest thing ever. Either way, congrats, u really did amazing!<3
“Our first kiss? Well, that’s rather private isn’t it?” Magnus said. “We didn’t do it in a hall in front of everyone for a reason, Biscuit.”
Clary laughed. “But I want to hear the story! The two of you did do the whole fairy tale romance thing. Quite literally! You first kiss must have been something spectacular!”
Alec raised an eyebrow. He didn’t understand everyone’s sudden interest in his and Magnus’ relationship. There was something about Valentine’s Day that had got everyone curious though.
“Well, I guess it would be... Oh that day in your room, wasn’t it? When I was picking up Chairman Meow and Jace interrupted us?” Magnus asked, a smile playing across his lips.
“Actually...” he began, before faltering. Did he want to admit to this? It felt almost creepy now he thought about it. He had hardly had Magnus’ consent to kiss him after all.
“Don’t tell me you don’t remember?” Magnus asked, putting his hand to his forehead in mock-horror.
“I’ll never be able to bleach it from my brain,” Jace snarked from where he was dutifully arranging the Valentine’s hearts that Isabelle had insisted on decorating Magnus’ flat with.
“I remember,” Alec reassured Magnus. “It’s just... that wasn’t our first kiss.”
Magnus looked absolutely bewildered. Clary was covering her mouth with her hand.
“I assure you, that was. Alec, are you feeling alright?” Magnus asked, walking over to check Alec’s temperature. “Did you drink the Warlock wine again?”
“No. I mean that I... Um... I might have kissed you... aspartoftheSnowWhitecurse,” Alec said the last few words as a rush.
“I beg your pardon?” Magnus said, blinking. Clary’s mouth had made a small ‘o’ shape.
Jace looked about to commit murder.
“You are kidding me,” he said, dropping the paper heart decorations to the floor in disgust. “You have to be kidding me.”
“Alec isn’t known for his sense of humor,” Magnus pointed out, but he was giving Alec a look that clearly was asking for an explanation.
“I kissed Magnus to try and wake him up. He didn’t wake up. That’s it,” Alec said, shrugging his shoulder.
Jace groaned and put his face in his hands.
“You’re not... serious?” Magnus asked. “You didn’t think to mention that until now? You didn’t think that might have been pertinent information at the time?!”
“You didn’t wake up. It didn’t seem important!” Alec replied. “I figured you had woken up of your own accord!”
“You idiot! We could have skipped so much drama if you had-”
“Alexander, you really should have spoken up-”
“You try kissing someone and them snoring on you! It was my first kiss!”
“Months. For months I thought I was going to die...”
“We fought a Greater Demon because you guys had communication issues... We deposed Camille!”
“That’s why I didn’t say anything. Everything worked out in the end.”
No one had seen Isabelle enter, but she was smiling, a cake in the shape of a heart in her hands.
“Izzy, if you’re not here to help, please leave,” Alec said, pleading to his sister with his eyes. She gave him an even wider grin.
“Sure. Here, Magnus, Jace. Cake. Homemade,” she said, offering it to them.
Alec used their quick refusals as a chance to escape. He knew he was probably going to have to answer for this later, but for now, he was going to find somewhere that wasn’t covered in hearts and an angry parabatai or warlock to go and get his head straight.
(Apologies. This isn’t as good as it could be. I haven’t written for this fandom in years, the show has moved on with their characterisation and I struggled to find all their voices. Even so, I hope this scratches an itch!)
