I think the reason I love incest pairings so much is because of how superior they are from purely a narrative/thematic standpoint. Everyone intuitively knows that pairings where the characters shouldn't be together or something is keeping them apart are usually the most interesting and engaging to root for. And what could possibly be more taboo than incest? It automatically makes the pairing a real underdog story where you want them to end up together and happy despite the odds being stacked sooooo high against them. When you still do something even though you know the whole world disapproves and would shun you if they knew, that reads as true love so much more than many non-incest pairings that try to go for the star-crossed lovers angle. Just my personal take.

i have been wanting to do a Jalex edit with Wildflower for so long but then my computer broke. dont ask me what the common thread between these clips are.. the bounces in WOWP timeline in these clips is craazy. i was really basing this all on vibes and vibes alone

anyways anyways my general vibe for this edit when i made it is that Justin is sad and pining waaah. if you've read the AMAZING (legitimately life-altering) fanfic "OTP" by Save vs. Magic, I kept thinking of when Justin writes fanfiction to work through his complicated feelings for Alex (you really need to read this if you haven't, it's amazingly written)

tw for mason's face sorry. love Gregg, but the fact that the show's main love interest for Alex was a 300+ year old werewolf that hung around a high school and dated her when she was 16 is craaazy. (yes--same with Juliet) i think we're supposed to suspend disbelief (one would say WOWP is perhaps a childrens show. idk about that tho), buuut talk about a literal wolf in sheep's clothing !!?? mason greyback u are a predator fr. i didnt even like Malex when i was growing up, they were so toxic

Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I’m starting to realize Han is kind of awful.

While they do have some cute moments. I don’t find him to be a good match for Leia. She’s smart, politically minded, independent and feisty… critical to the Rebellion, trained in diplomacy from a young age. He’s insecure, rude, and crass, and he’s constantly demeaning to her when he is nothing more than a common smuggler. I hate when he says his line about avoiding female advice, I hate the way he constantly ignores her feelings but is rewarded by the narrative for it, I hate how he is constantly insecure and comparing himself to Luke and making their relationship all about him.

Leia is my favorite blorbo of all time… and for a long time I wanted to like her with Han, since she is so sweet on him. But she deserves better than that. (Or at least she deserves more interesting forms of horror.) I’ve come to find there’s so many other relationships of hers which are far more compelling. It’s a shame how emphasized hanleia has become when there’s the potential of her dynamic with Vader, her Imperial adversaries such as Tarkin… such messy and fascinating possibilities for the princess of Alderaan and leader of the Rebellion.

Meanwhile hanleia is toxic, but not in a compelling way, and the hanleia fandom refuses to see them as anything but wholesome, which can be really irritating.

The best part of the Han/Leia relationship is when Leia spends basically 1.5 movies telling him how much he sucks. But girl… why did you stop? 😭😭

Leia let out a shaky exhale against Luke’s chest. “I’ve already told you, I don’t care about blood.”

“Leia. It’s more than that…”

“Tell me. I can handle it.”

“It’s about Vader. He taunted me, and it worked. I attacked him, I almost killed him.”

“That doesn’t sound like you,” Leia said after some consideration.

“No. It’s not.” Luke agreed.

“What did he say?”

Luke’s entire body grew tense. “He threatened to come for you, to turn you.”

They stood in silence for what seemed like an eternity.

“But, you didn’t kill him?” Leia tried not to sound disappointed.

“No.”

“Isn’t that what matters then? You ultimately made the right choice?”

“My feelings for you are dangerous if they can be used against me so easily.”

Leia pulled away from him, breaking his gentle hold on her. Despite all her diplomatic training, she failed to hide her feelings.

“Why do I have the feeling you’re going to say something stupid?”

Luke smiled at that. “I should leave.”

“Leave? The Alliance still needs you, I still need you, even if—“

Luke pulled her back into his arms.

“This hardly seems fair!”

“I know.”

“But you’ve already decided, haven’t you?”

“I have.”
