This is an anti loki series blog so don't follow me if you're a fan of the show and if anything I actually hated the series for ruining said title character that I'm pretending that it never existed.
I'm also not a huge fan of the FF7 Advent Children movie because the overall plot was confusing for me that I'm more solely focused on the main games instead of the film.
Certified Blacksand shipper for quite a long time now and to this very day.
So the official Avengers Doomsday trailer is out and for a split moment we see Loki somehow going back to being a TVA agent again.
Like it's already pretty obvious that they're going to play an important role in the film but I mean c'mon seriously!?
As if the finale of that disaster of a show wasn't bad enough, they decided to make him return to the same Time Nazi organization that had originally committed genocide and tortured him.
Let's just hope that this will be the last time he'll associate himself with them cause honestly they were terrible people to begin with.
Also I never liked his outfits from the show, both the brown uniform and his "God of Stories" robes, and Marvel seems to have forgotten about his more iconic and beautiful outfits.
The thing I hate about the "Loki" series finale is that he received a fate worse than death.
He literally became a living battery for a tree where his own magic is preventing the multiverse from collapsing on itself while being isolated for all of eternity.
And some people have the audacity to say that he got a "happy ending" when he clearly isn't.
I was thinking of a fan design for Pitch's sequel outfit.
His original shadow robes were torn to shreds from the Nightmares that tormented him, a few years later they would eventually collapse into a pile of black sand as they could no longer feed on Pitch's fear alone.
He manages to regain consciousness and with little power he has left uses the leftover black sand to create a new robe made entirely out of Nightmare sand, having a dark blue and violet sheen, paralleling Sandy's Dreamsand pajama suit.
It also has elements from his book design specifically the neck frills and wider sleeves from his dark age design from Rufftoon's comic.
I'm getting a dreadful feeling that at some point in part 3 Cloud is finally going to reach his breaking point and is practically on his knees begging for Sephiroth to kill him.
Upon witnessing the vulnerable state that Cloud is in, it would have been easy for Seph to finally be rid of him right then and there, only to feel hesitation for the first time in so long.
This moment is definitely going to give Seph a reality check and have him finally realize that he never actually wanted this at all and would slowly begin to sever his ties with Jenova as this is what she had planned all along.
AU where upon sephiroth's birth everone, and i mean EVERYONE, but sephiroth remembers the events of the game.
the residents of sector 7 remember the plate falling. Wutai and Corel are gathering arms. Everyone is yelling at shinra asking WHY did they make a monster that summoned a meteor. And poor little seph is caught in the middle of a giant game of hot potato between people who want to kill him, people who want to save him, and people who want to use him.
Luckily tho the moment Vincent remembers he busts out of hos coffin and kills Hojo, so that's nice.
Someone needs to make a time travel fix it fic with this. Also poor Seph he really doesn't need to go through all that especially since he is literally just a child at this point of the timeline. 😢💔
But yeah Vincent will forever be a better dad than Hojo so good for him.
Why do I get the feeling that SE is gonna retcon AC and DoC?
The remake trilogy is practically going to change everything especially after the new lore introduced in EC.
Let's not forget that the original compilation's story technically had the "bad ending" as all of humanity went extinct as seen in the epilogue of the og with Nanaki and his cubs.
So it's difficult to tell whether we can still consider AC and DoC canon especially since most of the characters from the compilation are now appearing in the main game's new story which is fitting for the multiverse plotline the remake trilogy is going for.
Sephiroth: Thanks to Cloud's interference and memories of the original timeline, he was able to redeem himself by secretly rebelling against Shinra with his friends. Yuffie gave him a kimono after he apologized about the war on Wutai and the nation are now allies with them. Vincent shows him his real mother Lucrecia in her cave and now wears a similar ponytail as a form of remembrance of her. Masamune transforms into the Cetra Blade as a gift from Gaia.
Vincent: Wakes up earlier in his coffin after Chaos shows him his memories/visions of the terrible future, who along with Cloud burn all of the books left by Hojo in the mansion, ultimately preventing the Nibelheim incident. He reunites with Tseng and the other turks as they help expose Shinra's dark secrets to the world.
Cloud: He was given a chance from Gaia to change history for a better future by going back to the past. He also gains his own wing after Jenova manages to kill him only for Gaia to bring him back to life blessed with newfound strength and hope. He deals the final blow on Jenova deep within the Northern Crater by tearing her away from the Planet's Core.
Nanaki: Cloud meets him and Bugenhagen in Cosmo Canyon where at this point in the timeline he hasn't been captured by Shinra yet hence the lack of the eye scar and number thirteen branding. He immediately joins Cloud's new team to help them take down Shinra, Hojo, and Jenova.
Aerith & Zack: She tells him her past memories, Cetra heritage, and connection to the Planet as they both soon catch up with Cloud on their new journey to save the world again. She also heals the winged soldier trio + Cloud that severed Jenova's influence over them. They both activate Holy as it slows down Jenova's infection over the Planet giving Cloud's allies a chance to battle and defeat her.
Genesis & Angeal: After they are both healed from degradation along with Seph and Cloud, they were able to reform the Soldier Program and retrained them into actually aiding people especially the ones living in the lower plates of Midgar. They helped in safely dismantling the Mako Reactors including saving Corel from the imminent meltdown.
Minerva (Gaia): The Goddess who sends Cloud back in time to prevent the tragedies from ever happening and save the lives that were lost from the old timeline. She gives Seph a new sword as it symbolizes the last step of his redemption arc. She brought Cloud back to life when Jenova killed him in front of his friends during the final confrontation and blessed him with a wing and new determination.
! Jenova is her own warning !
Jenova: While being contained by Hojo she remembers the old timeline and starts planning in advance as she learns to properly speak human speech as well as gaining her own free will to act on her own. She manipulates Hojo into spreading her cells into more soldier candidates to try and speed up Reunion. The Gi Tribe have become her spiritual slaves as they willingly gave her the Black Materia and rather than summoning Meteor she instead fused it onto her very being to enhance her dark power. She returns back to the Northern Crater and fuses herself onto the Planet's Core, absorbing the Lifestream to become a titanic sized monstrosity emerging from the crater itself, and blasting destructive flames in her wake. She managed to kill Cloud during the final confrontation but was ultimately obliterated by his newfound gift from Gaia.
You know the saddest part of Ever Crisis shutting down?
We never got to see a younger/teen version Genesis, literally the one character that fans have been wanting to see again, and would have played a role in First Soldier/Seph's backstory.
At this point I don't even care if he doesn't appear in part 3 or dlc cause SE seems to have completely forgotten about him and decided to ignore the epilogue/cliffhanger of DoC.
I am highly disappointed. Seriously why Square!? 💔
Honestly the my little pony infection AU trend on tiktok is inspiring me to make infection AU’s of my other fandoms. I am currently making a chart sorting my fandoms on how likely an infection or zombie outbreak could happen in canon.
Star wars is actually on the top tier of that list since there are multiple cases of actual zombies and infections in canon.
One tier below is Final fantasy 7, which has a canonical infectious disease with geostigma, and a malicious entity able to take over people’s minds when her cells come in contact with their DNA. Some rules of canon have to be bent, but it is plausible and believable in canon
I just thought of an FF7 infection au based/inspired from MLP Molt Effect by Bumbled Eve on TikTok.
However instead of scales, it's feathers from Seph's wing which of course the infection is from the Jenova Cells.
This takes place during Crisis Core where the first unfortunate victim is Cloud himself, accidental consumption of one of Seph's feathers causes him to mutate into a grotesque birdlike alien, who ironically is the one that causes the Nibelheim incident in this au.
Seph did not snap in this au and was actually horrified and heartbroken that his most beloved fan had become like this and is now feeling a huge amount of guilt over what had happened.
Tifa was the next to become infected after running up to Seph and demands to know what just happened, the entire situation quickly escalated into chaos as the residents of the town also had become mutated, and thus Seph and Zack had no other choice but to escape back to Midgar.
They both visited Aerith at the church and told her about what went down in Nibelheim, Seph then confessed it was all his fault to which he then willingly sacrificed himself to be erased from existence from both Aerith & Minerva's power, forcing the Jenova infection onto himself as well as reversing time as if the tragedy never happened.
With part 3 underway, I think Lucrecia might receive a lighter punishment from the Planet itself, because are we still going to assume that she'll still be encased in Crystalized Mako for seemingly all of eternity?
The entire plot practically began with her terrible decisions that once she realized her mistake and found that it was too late for her to fix it, she chose to hide herself in a cave so as to not face the consequences of her actions, which is a pretty cowardly move even for her.
She became suicidal that the Jenova Cells prevented her from dying which only made her even more pathetic, especially since being trapped in crystal for a majority of the compilation also meant that she was completely unaware of all the tragedy caused by the corrupt company she once worked with, the mad scientist that had turned her child into an experiment/weapon, and the parasitic alien that have been the root of all the suffering.
Square Enix definitely has huge plans for her role in part 3 that could potentially lead to a possible DLC after the trilogy.
