The best advice for any scientist or truth seeker - Try to prove yourself wrong, under every circumstance. When you remove your own personal biases, break down the false of everything around you, all you are left with is the truth.

So, ask questions. Dig for answers. Don't accept the first thought, or theory, or even response from someone else. Find a way to prove it wrong.

I swear, right before I checked my notifications, I thought to myself “I bet they’re going to say ‘blocked 🥰’ or some lame shit like that and do so before I can respond to the fact that they were rude AND wrong the whole time” and maybe it’s the witch in me, but damn, did I call it.

I can’t stand how there are STILL so many uptight, snooty witches on this app. There were (and sadly are) so many witches and practitioners that boasted themselves (not like confidence, arrogance) and talked down on basically any other witch, and criticized them WHENEVER possible with the most, condescending tone. Like why do you have to be so rude and cold? Sit next to the cauldron a while, maybe reflect on yourself a little. Get cozy. Roll a blunt. That’s all.

I can't read my own work.

I know I'd like it if I wasn't me. I write my favorite tropes and a complex storyline that would drag me in.

I just can't read my own work unless I wrote it so long ago that I'm like: "Oh wait, I wrote that? I don't remember doing that!" And even half that time I'm just like: "Trash. Burn it!"

Immediately after writing it, I'm proud of myself and can get through exactly 2 proofreads before I get the urge to delete everything I had written in that time.

This is why I have to completely rewrite the part in my editing process. Otherwise, I would be there all day, growling like a demon as I bemoan my cliche descriptions and garbage dialogue (even when it's not).

So yes, I can't read my own work, because I critique it until it's unreadable and it makes me sad that I can't enjoy my own writing.
