So I guess since my show is coming up (Minneapolis night 2!!! aka next SATURDAY), I will compose a post describing my love for Taylor Swift and all she has done for me. this is gonna be a long one so buckle in baby! In the beginning, I listened to Love Story. 5th grade me was just ASTOUNDED at the fact that a song could contain an actual storyline so my little fricken mind was blown and I was SHOOK. from then on, I absolutely forced my parents to purchase each album for me in cd format so we could listen to it in the car as I did not have a music playing device or phone at this time. Some of my earliest taylor swift memz are of my family and I jamming out to the fearless and speak now albums in the car. Since we only listened to the cd, my dad doesn’t know the official titles of many of taylor’s songs to this day and instead knows what number they are on the cd, despite being able to sing along to the songs bc he knows the lyrics so well. In eighth grade, I saw my first taylor swift show which was the red tour. Again, my little eighth grade fricken mind was BLOWN because it was so good. Ok fast forward to high school when I learned that I could make a blog all about taylor swift and so I decided to do so shortly before the album 1989 came out. very good stuff !!! i posted a lot of dumb posts but also a lot of good ones i guess (see pictured) and after probably four or five months, taylor followed me!! literally as little 15 year old me arrived to a fricken BAND CONCERT, i got that mf notification and i lost my goddamn shit. and then i had to go on stage and play my saxophone and sit thru other bands while I was mentally losing it lmfao ok anyways. junior year of high school, a boy asked me to homecoming using taylor swift lyrics and he became my first love!! we dated for two fricken years!! i also met lots of great friends along the way including one of my best friends whose name is DARBY @dlovestaylor and after a while of us being tumblr friends, she fricken flew all the way to my state just so we could hang out!!! and then, i drove all the way to her state so we could hang out again!!!! and the fricken grand finale was when darby and i flew out to new york to meet our tumblr friend SOFIA!!! @lov-eswift (and this was when i was 18, so probs like 4 years after i started my blog and 3 years after the 3 of us became friends). and that is absolutely insane because I had such a good time and i never would have gone to new york if i hadn’t known sofia. and i met @tswizzledude who became the person that literally introduced me to the college i ended up going to and currently love attending. also, i went to the 1989 tour twice hehe. One was just ur average fun concert, the other was that my dad and i randomly decided we needed to go see 1989 just one more time. We ended up driving like 3 hours away after i got out of school one day to her show in another state and had the time of our lives on the floor!!! basically, taylor swift has controlled many aspects of my life in such a positive way and i’m forever grateful for her. I had to leave many things out of taylor and I’s narrative, otherwise this post would go on forever but I am so truly grateful for the positive affect she has had on my life. The next page in the story of us is the Reputation tour next weekend and i can’t wait :’-) @taylorswift @taylornation
