The only thing I hate worse than outsiders who know nothing about us and our lives trying to criticize something that has NOTHING to do with them is when people within the community do it to each other.

have u ever lifted bras from torrid before or shirts from hot topic? i can't figure out a good technique to do either of those things and i haven't seen any posts about specific techniques. thank u boo

I’ve never been to torrid but here’s my main techniques for hot topic: Because of my shitty magnets, I go for anything untagged. I’ve been to stores where near everything is untagged. So what I usually do is go when it’s a little more empty like in the morning? Because hot topic is set up sort of like a maze which makes it harder to predict if a customer is just gonna pop out from a corner. Okay now that you’re there grab your item (idk a shirt) make it small by scrunching it in your hand then head for those circle hanger things that display clothes. Act as if your looking through them then stop and use your hip to make a little opening. Have your back facing the SA, open your bag and shove. This technique works for anything really but it’s really helpful for bigger things buuuuuut don’t do it often. Another one of my techniques is “the drop” carry the item in the hand where your purse is hanging from (I have a purse with a strap that extends to my shoulder and drops a little below my hand, it’s soooo underrated) okay so when I lift I keep my purse open so you don’t hear the zipper constantly and I can just shove things in it. So just hover your hand over your open purse, drop as if your looking at a lower display and during that movement your hand should’ve been in & out of that purse. Takes practice but works well. My last trick is for those with short purse straps or just a shopping bag from another store. Have one strap at your wrist and the second down your forearm a bit but not too much and when no ones looking flick the shit backwards watch it fall in then drop your arm down and have both strap in your hand. These tips aren’t specifically for hot topic (well the first one is) these can work for any on-floor concealing.

Bras from Torrid are my SPECIALTY girl. They have the best bras they're all I wear.

Okay so, it's literally so easy. Wear something with a high neck line that's a little thicker and covers your shoulders. Wear a bralette or some sort of unstructured bra.

Now you're golden. Go look for your bras, pretend like you don't know what size you are so go back and forth between the dressing room and the floor a couple of times so the SAs loose track of how many items you have.

Once you detag (if you don't have a magnets they sometimes miss some bras, you'll prob find one or two in your size without a tag.) you can just layer up. I would say non push up- 3 layers of bras and push up just 2.

Now just walk out all defeated or pretend you're getting a phone call and walkout and enjoy your new sexy ass bras!😏

i havent lifted much in the way of “haul worthy” recently. Just groceries and not even a lot of stuff either. I want to go to the mall and hit up V$ because I don’t feel like washing but other than that I have no stores i can truly hit up because everything is tagged. I dont own a magnet nor hook and finding untagged things at 421 is fucking tiring. U0’s would be the easiest thing if i had a magnet and other than that IDK. i feel stuck in a rut in regards to lifting. I really want a lifting buddy but I dont know anyone here who lifts. I’m not sure if I’m scared of getting caught in a completely new city or if I need to actually start moving out of my comfort zone when it comes to lifting.
