I have been battling depression and anxiety my whole life. Every day is a constant battle of my mind. Some days are better than others. People who have depression and anxiety knows how hard it is. We may seem alright on the outside but inside you feel as though the whole world is falling apart. We are anxious about the future and trying hard to get through today. We live in the past full of regrets wishing we can undo the things we are not proud of. The reality of it is when we think of the past, it robs us of the present time and often times affects our future. I want to share what are some of the thoughts that can help us get through the hardest days.
- Enjoy the journey of where you are right now
- Negative thoughts won't last forever
- You have the power over your mind
- Remember your boundaries, it will protect yourself
- Expect that people do things differently, don't take it personal
- Be proud of yourself - how far you have come

I know it's hard but we can overcome this depression and anxiety. We may sick help through prayer, medication, therapy, support from family and friends. You are not alone and never think for one second that no one cares about you. You are loved, appreciated and have so much more to offer to the world. I tell myself, this feeling is not permanent. The pain of giving up is not an option. Whatever your circumstances are, you are strong enough to fight it even if your having doubts. Try to remain hopeful and remember every day is a chance to get better.
