Today I did an experiment where I didn't initiate a conversation with anyone (basically, I waited for someone else to start conversation to see if anyone actually enjoyed talking to me). No one talked to me... And the one person who did talk to me was the one person I initiate conversation with... My closest friend didn't try to talk to me... So... I'm really lonely.
