I don’t understand why petco/pet smart even sells fish like this. All in this tank it had a few shovel nose catfish, clown knifefish, gar, and an arowana. These animals get huge and shouldn’t be sold to the general public without an enormous tank and lots of experience.

One of my favorite inverts, the pom pom crab! If you’re curious about the name, these crabs carry tiny anemones in their claws as their defense. The sweet little sweeping motion is not a cheer, rather he’s collecting food from the water column. These guys are pretty shy (or have been so far), but I was thrilled to see 3/5 today. I’m learning and I like to share what I’m learning so any advice, comments or questions are always welcome!
