“what are these?” cas asked, looking down at the shaped metal sitting on the counter next to the ball of sugar cookie dough that dean was rolling out. dean glanced up, catching sight of his husband and offered him a warm smile. “cookie cutters, so we can have different shaped christmas cookies. thought it’d be nice if we all decorated them together.” cas nodded, seeming to like the idea. the angel’s hands skimmed over the cutters, admiring the collection of christmas trees and snowflakes and snowmen and… “dean?” without looking up, dean raised an eyebrow. “hm?” picking up one of the metal cutters, cas held it out to dean. “what is this?” dean finally darted his eyes away from the cookie dough to look at cas, and he snorted, hiding his laugh into cas’ shoulder as he ducked his head. “it’s an angel,” dean said with a grin. cas frowned, dropping the cutter against the counter with a clang. “no, it isn’t. our wings don’t look anything like that.” dean laughed, dusting the flour off his hands and wrapping his arms around cas’ waist. “oh? I think it looks just like you,” he teased. “dean,” cas said sharply with a huff. a laugh bubbled up from dean’s chest, and he snuck in a quick kiss to cas’ chin before the angel pushed him away. “alright then. how about you make a cookie that shows your true form, and I’ll make this angel cookie cutter one, and we’ll compare which one is better,” dean offered, a glint of mischief in his eyes. cas huffed, but plucked a knife off of the counter and snagged some of the cookie dough. “you’re on.”
