ok so. life update: 

my laptop died and i just now replaced it. i lost everything and i’m still trying to find ways to recover what i can. 

my car broke so many times but only when i was unemployed. 

a lot of ideas i had for this changed and grew. i’m outlining all 5 (6?) parts into a cohesive narrative. its giving me so much serotonin. 

the series name is being changed to Symphony of Fallen Stars

im 3 months away from 5 years on HRT

moved away from a toxic partner into another toxic living situation. 2020 really bit me in the ass but i’m moving again (into my own place!) by new years or next spring. still on the fence if i want to get my general bachelors with 1 credit missing. 

i have new pets. isopods and brine shrimp. i love them so much. 

i might have a new monstersona. i still need to draw them. 

teaching myself how to do thumbnails for larger art pieces. 

i haven’t drawn since my laptop died. we’ll see what happens LMAO

More doodles from my au. 

First is the face of Lapis in this rewrite, lapis lazulis of the Blue Court are considered regal and I wanted her design to reflect that better. The second image is when Lapis meets her previous escort, and a closeup of Jasper 2MC. Jasper escorts are an uncommon thing, but not unheard of. 

Next is Amethyst ready to play ishtaboli! And finally a potential CG outfit for Peridot. She’s the type to unironically wear a cape and you can’t change my mind. Her gloves are work gloves that Connie personally gave to her as a gift.

Neither of you have seen your first lazuli concert? That explains a lot. I’m out of practice, but I can put on a short show for you. Every well adjusted gem has witnessed the creation story, it helps us define who we are. 

I never share my artwork that goes along with my au and I really should rectify that. Lapis still has loyalty to her Court and takes a while to truly question it. In this rewrite lapis lazulis are storytellers that utilize water for visuals and advanced hydrokinesis techniques can mimic other voices. Though they are rare, every gem in each court has seen one perform the creation story. It’s framed with a lot of propaganda, but what is a dystopian colony without it!

Welcome to your new home. You may not know it yet, but you are part of a wonderful society known as gemkind. This society was made possible by a single gem: White Diamond. 

White Diamond awoke from Her slumber as a sleeping star, lonely in Her Perfection. As Her solitude followed Her through Her journey through the cosmos, She found Herself wanting to love another. This emotion formed into a single tear that fell into the ground beneath Her feet, and in time emerged the first Elder. 

In time She had many new gems to call Her own, but none were as Perfect as Her. She returned to the stars to meet with Her slumbering Kin, helping another to awaken with Her tears. From that star emerged the Twin Diamonds: her radiance Yellow Diamond, the creator of the court of intellect and knowledge; and her magnificence Blue Diamond, the creator of the court of emotion and art. 

This colony is rare, it belongs to a new court: the court of Pink Diamond. She is your elder and creator of this colony, something never seen before. You are quartz soldiers, protectors of her new royalty. As an Amethyst, you are to stand guard against those who would charge to harm her Court and all its denizens. As a--uh. 

... Rose Quartz. 

As a Rose Quartz, you are to assist and defend your fallen allies in battle. You are the protectors of gem culture and all fortunate enough to be members of each court. Not everyone is so lucky to receive the love of your Diamond! It is our duty to return that love with all we have and serve her.
