Reading Diary #4: Teachersā situation (click here to read the article)
This article tells us a amazing story about helping each other. All we know that teachersā situation is not easy. When we consider Hungary we can face huge problems. Their salary is too low for that much work and affort they do.Ā Now, in my first year I can clearly see that 6 years of studying is a joke in contrast with the appreciation as a teacher. It is impossible to live from that much money and I am worried now how I will feed my children, pay my bills, etc. The only thing which motivates me is teaching children. I adore spending time with them and only this one thing can compensate everything.Ā
In this article they talk about a man who donated school supplies for teachers in Phoenix to help them because before that they had to buy everything for school from their own money. The situation is the same in Hungary. If there were more generous donor, teachers could make the lessons more enjoyable. It would be everyoneās aim because children are the future and I hope that thing will change soon.
Blog Entry #4: Game of Thrones-my review and advices
Before, I didnāt really want to start to watch Game of Thrones but my boyfriend and nearly all of my friends are huge fans so I gave it a try. Now, I can understand them. In the next points I want to share my experience and give some advice which is needed if you (start) watch the series.
1, First of all, never love the characters. It is 96% sure that your favorite one will die sooner or later. When you start to sympathize with a character, you start to love him/her but this human (od crature) will die and you end up being sad and try to find a new favorit....and the circle newly begins. Fortunately, writers were kind and sometimes they made those events which make our potencial favorits less sympathic.Ā
2, My next advice is try to remember or learn the names. Iām terribly at names, it has been difficult for me to learn especially foreign names but in this case I had to. Mostly at the beggining it helps a lot if you can distinguish people by their name. You will be able to see through the system of the series and understand the relations.Ā
3, Match the logos with the house names. In GoT the majesties and rule-makers are always the members of a huge and old house which has big and famous name. All the houses have their own symbol which is usually connected to the houseās mentality. These symbols also help to understand the plot which is often complicated.
All in all, I can say that it is worth to start because the actors are great, the plot is enjoyable and unpredictable and at least but not last the environment is as beautiful on screen as a real life vacation. I canāt wait for the last season!
On April 5, a new movie came out. It is based on a DC Comics character who is well-known in the comic books but he just got his first movie. I was very misgiving after the trailer because I thought that they would make a huge joke from the whole movie. I hadnāt been correct, it wasnāt even funny.
First of all, for those who love superhero movies it is worth to watch once, but not twice if my opinion matters. The trailer is deceptive because it suggests that the film is planted with sitcom joke but the truth is that it containes the 90% of the jokes from the movie. Because of this, we know all of them before they can make their role. Considering the relation of timing and action we can say that Shazam! is slack, sometimes boring. There is one main line and about 2-3 background stories but neither of them is well-built enough.Ā
Characters have many potencial but still do not work. The movie shows many characters but doesnāt really introduce or use them (to express something). This makes them boring too and left many questions in the audience. Okay, it is true that we can get more information about Billy by the end of the movie, but itās obvious because he is the main character. The so calledĀ āseriousā parts of the movie donāt work well, somehow they canāt give the right feeling or atmosphere to us.
To ending my post with something positive in connection with the movie, I would say that I love those parts when it pointed out to the situation of foster children, love among siblings or accept who we are.
Reading Diary #3:Ā LeBron James and the Lakers Keep Finding New Ways to Lose
Most of us can mention at least one name from the history of the NBA, big names like Michael Jordan, Shaquille OāNeal, EarvinĀ āMagicā Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or LeBron James. James is one of the most well-known player nowadays, one of the most famous ones. Unfortunately the name does not go hand in hand with success in game. LeBron James is incontestably talented and proficient in basketball otherwise he could not complite 16 seasons in the NBA, but this one totally differes from the previous ones.Ā
In 2018, James opted out of his contract with the Cavaliers to sign with the Lakers. It is not a secret that Los Angeles Lakers wanted to build up a winner team for this season that is the reason why the are payin 35,5 million dollars to James, he would have been their focal point. Actually, he is the main member of the team but do not forget that basketball is a team sport and one person cannot do all the thing alone. The other thing is that Lebron always have had a kind of selfish style which makes his image boastful. It is not enjoyable to watch his game because you have the feeling that there is a huge name with a not likeable vibes.Ā
Iām still hoping that LeBron and also the Lakers will learn from this season and will be able to return in the next season with full power. James is worth this amount of money but,Ā sadly, no this season.

Reading Diary #2:Ā Giannis Antetokounmpo Is N.B.A. Must-See TV, and Maybe the M.V.P.Ā (click on the title)
According to the article and many statistics, Milwaukee Bucks with Giannis Antetokoumpo is quite successful. Seeing the NBA Division Standing Milwaukee has the highest Pct (winning percentage) now. It is not a hap, they have an amazing hardworking team and of course, the 24-year-old guard, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Everybody saw that he was talented when he was drafted to the NBA in 2012 but he needed some improvement. He singed to Milwaukee in 2013 where he has had all the support he needs. According to his team mates and couches, Giannis is a hardworking and humble player who always tries to be better and better. Because of these, among NBA players he is calledĀ The Greek Freak (he is originally from Greece). His statistics are excellent, he is in the top five in Point per Game with his 27,4.Ā
Giannis was challenged in 2017 by Kobe Bryant, retired NBA player, to be the MVP (Most Valuable Player) at least once in his career. This year he has the chance. Couches, players and the fandom are wishing that he will win golden ball. I also hope that he will win this year, not just because he is my favorite player, but he is loved, dedicated and highly talented.
Iāve just finished this movie and I felt I had to write about it now or never because it made a huge impression on me.Ā
First of all, you have to see this one as soon as possible. The story takes place in the first half ofĀ ā60s in the US. Dr. Don Shirly (Mahershala Ali), who is an appreciated and talented pianist, has a two-month-long tour in southern states. He needs a driver and a ādo-all manā so he hires Tony Vallelonga (Vigo Mortensen). These two people are totally differe from each other and not just because of their skin tones. Tony is an Italian immigrant, good-looking, loud and so simple. Besides him there is Dr. Shirly who is intelligente, refined and well-mannered, someone who we call gentleman. But he is black. This sentence doesnāt really make sense in 2019 but of course we know that racism makes problem nowadays too.
In theĀ ā60s, mostly in the southern part in the US, people already knew that blacks arenāt different (on paper) but they could not and would not handle them like the whites. This movie amazingly show us those situations which were on the daily basis for these negro people.Ā
After about 40 minutes another movie came to my mind. Intouchables. These two are quite similar to me. I mean I know that the plots are totally different (deeply not really)Ā but the atmosphere of the movie, the characters and something which I canāt explain are so similar. Green Book has its havy message to tell, as well as Intouchables, and conveys it to us in a serious but also funny and entertaining way. The dose of humour isnāt too much, just perfect.
I highly recommend this movie for everybody, it will make you thinking and appreciating your family and friends. I really enjoyed the experience. Definitely worth your time and those Oscar, Golden Globe, etc. awards!
Let me start with a fact, I havenāt seen this animation before....which was a huge fault! This movie is nearly 11-year-old and still has its actuality. The plot isnāt so difficult to follow or identify with but clearly show some serious problems of the society. Not just the garbage on Earth but the laziness of people in the space is something which we can experience everyday.Ā
The quality of the animation is surprisingly great especially because it was made in 2008. Excellent use of colours, detailed scenes and characters are the best features of it. The movie doesnāt contain many dialogues, mostly just sound effect but honestly we donāt need words to understand the message of it. WALL-E (the movie and the character also) is simply adorable and funny.Ā
This little lonly robot working hard on Earth to clean up humanās mess. Heās collecting thing which are everyday items for us but amazing, magical objects for him. His values are totally different from peopleās which makes funny situations. The characteristics od WALL-E makes our heart melt especially when EVA comes up. From this point of the plot, WALL-E teaches us how to care for our loved ones and how love simply works.
I highly recommand this animation from children to elderly because Iām sure this was made for everybody. Grown ups can also enjoy the movie and relive their childhood experiences. Now, after the movie, I can say that it made a huge impression on me and I am sorry now that I didnāt wachted it before. Pixar, great job, all of us need to see it at least once.

This article made a huge impression on me because it reflected on some serious issues in the world of sports, NBA and WNBA. All of us know that gender equality is a nice ideal notion, unfortunately, in the 21th century too. The situation is not different in the fild of sports neither. Practically, we can say that based on our experiences men worth more than women because they earn more money for the same work and get more opportunities than female candidates.Ā
This woman in the picture is Kristi Toliver who is still an active playerĀ in WNBAās Washington Mystics while she hired as a full-time assistant coach whith the NBAās Washington Wizards. Her nomination was a huge achievement for women in coaching and could provide other opportunities for women for the future of basketball. While her -and, for example, Becky Hammonās- work is extremely beneficial the salary is just $10,000 because Kristi Toliver plays for the Mystics (same entity as the Wizards), WNBA salary cap rules limit what the company can pay her.Ā āYet some people, including commentators on internet sites and menās basketball fans in real life, contend these women should be happy to have opportunities at all.ā They say these just because the players and coaches are women and not men. Well done people, that is what you call gender equality!šš
Because of the lack of opportunities players of WNBA have to go overseas, where their skills worth more,Ā during the off-season because they cannot afford to stay home for so little pay. These off-season activities could have effects on year-round playing because they could get injured and they cannot really recharge themselves for theĀ āfresh startā.
Getting more opportunities in the fild of basketball could help women players to stay home and could give them hope for the future. Fortunately, many open-minded person welcome and wait the time when couches are judged by their talent, benefits and proficiency.Ā āDoesnāt matter if theyāre male of female, doesnāt matter their background.ā That is what we could call equality.Ā
