How to block posters and tags, for antis
I haven’t cross tagged this to antis because I don’t cross tag, and because I know you guys read our tags anyway so you can complain about us. It’s become clear to me that you don’t know how to block users and tags because if you did you would just do that so you didn’t have to be bothered by seeing our posts anymore. So here is a quick tutorial about how to use Tumblr’s block functions so we no longer disturb you.
These instructions are for the website. I don’t use the app even on mobile devices, hopefully someone else can help you there.
To block a poster that’s on your dash you can click the three dots in the upper right of their post and then scroll down to where it says block in orange. Click that and you won’t see their posts anymore. All done, no need to harass them because you don’t like their content.
You can also block someone directly from their Tumblr. Again, look for the three dots click them and scroll down to block and click it. All done.
To block tags you need to co to your settings. Click the little button that looks like a stylized person in the upper right corner of your screen. Scroll down and click the one that looks like a gear. Scroll down that page until you see “Filtering” and then click the button that looks like a pencil. Put tag you don’t want to see content from in the little box and the posts with those tags will only show up on your dash as blank grey boxes that tell you that the post has tags you have blocked. You can choose to see the post if you want, but the whole point of this is making sure you don’t see the posts that bother you so exercise some willpower and don’t.
I recommend starting with everything I’ve tagged this post with. For specific media also add Jilco, Pilco, Pinecest, Wincest, and Madrigalcest.
Now you know how to block our posts and you can do that and go about your day without harassing us because you saw something you didn’t like.
