Thank you for being a vip that isn't totally delusional. I've seen so many people saying "I'll always defend you oppa" but honestly what he's done is unforgivable. I feel sorry for those women who were exploited and his members whose careers are no doubt over because of his actions

Honestly I have always wanted to be balanced throughout this situation but right now I can’t defend him. I think people need to open their eyes and see that this situation is disgusting. Women are being exploited and abused and every single individual involved deserves to go to jail for whatever part they’ve played in this, men in the entertainment industry get away with so much and I hope that every last one of those involved will not get away with it.

This isn’t about supporting your favs or whatever, people are literally suffering as a result and I think it’s unforgivable. Idols have suffered more over much smaller things in the past which just makes it worse because I cannot stress enough how big this really is.

I hope everyone will show sympathy towards the victims, regardless of who is involved. I have been a VIP since the beginning but this is the biggest and most terrible scandal a member has been involved in and I will not show blind support, I never have and I’m not about to now. As for the other members, their careers most likely have suffered as a result of this and whatever they do in the future, I’ll continue to support them unless I’m given a reason not to.

Imagine what child actors have to go through, but they have even less free time, aren’t independent, and basically property. The moment they speak out about abuse or mismanagement they’re replaced, and their lives are basically over.

There are numerous videos of members in various idol groups fainting onstage during live performances and a good percentage of the comments say things like “she so dedicated she’s trying to pull through even though she’s tired!”  “he cares for the fans so much he neglected his body!” “this shows how dedicated he is!” “They need to start taking care of themselves!” 

Like…if so many of them are in poor health, it’s probably not of their own volition.

I’ve seen K-pop fans squee about their favorite star putting on crocodile tears for some photoshoot or movie and then turn verbally abusive or get genuinely uncomfortable when footage is leaked of said star being actually frustrated or upset like a normal person in real life. 

They know it’s all manufactured garbage, they know they’re supporting a poisonous culture and industry, but they keep up their slavish devotion to it because they’re addicted to the escapism.

On 19th October, Lee Seok Cheol, The East Light’s leader opened up about the physical and verbal abuse from Media Line’s producer ‘A’ and their CEO, Kim Chang Hwan starting from before their debut until last year (2015 - 2017).

They were severely abused with a baseball bat, metal microphone, slapped in their face. Producer ‘A’ reportedly wrapped a guitar around a member’s neck and yanked it everytime he would make a mistake during his performance. Whenever the member tried to speak up about it, he would threaten them blatantly, “I’m going to kill you.” Due to this, they sustained injuries and trauma, both physical and psychological.

The CEO Kim Chang Hwan simply allowed such vile actions to go on, merely telling Producer ‘A’ “Don’t be too harsh.” Instead, the CEO cursed and threatened the members as well. The trauma and abuse are so extreme that Lee Seung Hyun is currently receiving treatment for physical and psychological pain.

Today is NOT the day we let predators like Kim Chang Hwan & Producer A roam around freely. THIS HAS TO BE TO STOPPED. Can you imagine the aspirations, the hope & the trust all 6 of them, Lee Seok Cheol, Lee Eun Sung, Lee Seung Hyun, Jeong Sa Gang, Kim Jun Wook & Lee Woo Jin had in the company? The trust their families had in the company, to aid these young men to reach their goals & fulfill their dreams. And what happened to that trust, that love? These vile people used it against them.

It does not matter who you stan or don’t stan. We are gonna stop this, we are gonna end violence by spreading the word, showing our support. REMEMBER AS MUCH AS WE WANNA BLAST AT THE ABUSERS

ALL 6 of them should be our priority. Let’s send them positive messages, show them that, WE ARE HERE FOR THEM, DESPITE THE STORM WE ARE HERE TO STAY BESIDE THEM, WE ARE HERE TO HELP THEM THROUGH THIS. Let’s show them the love and support. Let’s stand with them, for them & beside them.
