It’s been snowing on the hills for a while now and it’s so pretty so heres a little something I created inspired by it

look. i don’t think my stretch marks are beautiful. i don’t think they’re tiger stripes or natural tattooos. i don’t think my acne is beautiful. i don’t think the bags under my eyes are beautiful. i just think they’re human. and i don’t think i have to be beautiful all of the time in order to be accepted and loved and sucessful. i don’t think every small detail of my outer appearence needs to be translated into prettiness.

fun fact: this POV is actually called “body neutrality” and it’s SO MUCH more accessible/realistic for a lot of people. it’s based on the idea that the way we look is the least interesting/important thing about who we are, and that our bodies are worthy of respect regardless if they fit the mold of the current beauty ideals.

This is so so important and honestly this video may seem long but every minuet is worth it. We still need to keep educating ourselves on these matters and there's no better what to learn than from the people who have experienced racial prejudice. We need to start making change and even though on the large scale of things it may not seem like what we can do has any significance, everything in this moment matters. And the best place to start is education. Our brothers and sisters are calling on us for our support to help make change so now is the moment to look and think, what have I done to help out? What have I done to help those that are calling on us for our support. But we need to keep educating ourselves and becoming more understanding to others and learn to listen.

So maybe this is me just ranting. But earlier this month I watched a video of a white woman crying and she was saying how she was at a BLM protest in America and the police were using tear gas, and physically hurting anyone of colour so people began to scream if you’re white get to the front. So they did and suddenly the violence stopped. And she was saying how disgusting it was to actually see the prejudice and different treatment given by the police. So I told my mum about this saying how horrid it was that they are using such brutal forces and are explicitly being racist through their behaviors and my mum seemed shocked as well. Later that week however, when meeting with some family my mum brought up this and said how protester are being “sneeky” about the whole thing. I called her up on it and I couldn’t get my head around it. How were these protesters being “sneaky”?? They were simply doing what was needed to help protect our brothers and sisters when armed forces were against them. What is sneaky about that?? And to top it off it was a peaceful protest as well. My mum likes to argue saying that protesters are becoming violent and using that as an excuse but this was a PEACEFUL protest. I can only recall what I this woman had said on this video, but we need to be kind. We need to be understanding. Even if protesters are violent you can see why. So many people are being killed and it isn’t right. Our brothers and sisters need us and what do we do when they call for our help?? Look them dead in the eye and tell them they did this to themselves? NO BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T We are all trying to make a change calling for those around us join us to help fight this battle that shouldn’t have existed in the first place. Please just listen please help when you can and share information, have important conversations with your families. Just because #Blacklivesmatter isn’t trending anymore doesn’t make it any less important

This is so so important, if you’re not sharing information or donating make sure you continue to educate yourself, and find other ways you can help out, doing nothing is the worst thing you could be doing right now, if you feel you can’t stand up and speak out, there are plenty of other ways to help out.

Okay Tumblr we need to talk. Our world is in crisis. People are dying at a rapid pace every day, the planet is dying and our brothers and sisters are not being treated equally. We need to do something, we can’t keep leaving this to someone else or leaving it to the adults because as much as we used to love to think as kids that adults can fix everything. They don’t. Whether it’s in their power or not they are choosing not to. Please listen. We need to take action. Sign petitions donate money and get involved. I’m going to very straight here , I certainly havn’t been doing everything I should be doing , I like most people shared a few posts when BLM was trending. But what we need to understand is that the Black Lives Matter movement isn’t a trend it’s a human right. So please keep fighting. Keep informing yourself. Keep watching videos that donate to charitys. We are living in a broken world and if we keep complying to the system nothing will ever change. Nothing will ever improve. WE NEED TO BE THE CHANGE SO STOP SCROLLING AND TAKE ACTION PLEASE. This world is corrupt. We are willingly and knowingly killing our planet killing our brothers and sisters, but we need to be killing the system. We are living in such horrid circumstances and we all need to go and different paces for people who can more actively speak out do it. For those who can’t keep learning and keep sharing. We can’t stop. We need to carry on.  Don’t stop because it stopped being a popular topic. Don’t stop because one person disagreed with you. This is a battle we need to fight
