Ana’s eyes stung with tears—she hadn’t thought she’d feel the air tugging at her like this again. Feel the familiar dampness cling to her hands as they touched the clouds around her. Like she was herself again.

And alive.

Fearlessly alive.

Dusk had given back her wings. And so much more.❞

Before they ever reached this point, Ana had to endure a heartbreaking journey of healing after being betrayed by someone she once called a friend and handed over to the Dragon Hunters, who made sure she would never forget their prolonged cruelty. Nor ever erase its marks from her skin.

Dusk himself underwent a similar challenge, having suffered at the Hunters’ hands as well, and needing to learn how to trust again. And to find something worth protecting.

Together, they built a bond that soon became like iron—unshakable and unbreakable. And within it, Ana found herself once more. Realized she had not been broken by her hardships, but reborn. Stronger than before and ready to face whatever else the gods planned to place in her path.

Dusk had always known the embers of her inner strength still burned, merely waiting to be fanned into flame.

Little did Ana know that the “whatever else” awaiting her was already just around the corner.. and that Dusk himself would be the one to lead her to it when she was ready.

What is happening.

The fervent fury I feel deep in my atoms at this point is trembling and feels like it’s all about to combust.

The state of the world right now is a monumental disappointment. If you have seen the news at all, it’s a compounding disaster left and right with no breathing in between, no rest, no processing, nothing to hold onto.

I wake up to dread another day because I know some shite has happened YET AGAIN, and worse.

I’m disgusted by the these ideological frameworks that excuse cruelty.

Sometimes it’s hard to read fanfic when you’re studying herbalism.. when they have the character preparing a tincture to use that same DAY!!?

Baby those dried herbs need to sit in that jar with high proof alcohol for at LEAST a month!

That’s why before the use of calendars ppl use to prepare their tinctures either on the new moon or full moon. A a full moon cycle is usually 28 days or so. And they would give the moon names so it’s easier to remember when/what month said tincture was bottled.

This is also why herbal medicine is prepare in small batches. You have to take your time preparing your bottles. Making sure everything is clean so you don’t end up with mold. Diluting your grain alcohol. Heckkk knowing when to pick your herbs for max potency! Drying your herbs! That takes a lot of time too!
