Hanseong waved at the other. “It’s okay. Nothing more embarrassing than almost dying in your tub. But I am sure my human will appreciate the apology. He won’t even know, no worries.”

Taemin’s jaw dropped when he familiar face finally presents themselves. “Oh my gosh, Hanseong!!! I didn’t think that was you talking to me- Aww this just made me so happy~ I missed you!!! I thought you were my hubby, and now I’m even more embarrassed.” He spoke, his hands rising to cover his heated cheeks.
Hanseong couldn’t stop grinning and he scurried over to see his friend, giving him a big hug. “Alas, I am not your hubby.... what’s a hubby?” He cocked his head to the side with a pout. “I’ve been home a lot. Our apartment was broken into and I was there so I went through a few things... but I’m okay now!” The boxy smile was back. “My human and I aredoing well, though I think that he still gets confused by me but he forgets I’m from another century so....” His lips pursed in a pout.

Hanseong looked over the menu for a moment and he pointed to the chocolate fudge sundae. “I saw a frog once that looked like this...” He commented. “But yes, I’d like the ice cream here.” He tapped it, wiggling in his seat. He was really happy to be spending time at Soohyuk’s work again, he didn’t miss the other nearly as much now.
Hanseong pouted but he nodded to show he would obey. “I will apologize but I can’t promise I won’t bite her.” He shrugged, a small smile on his lips because he was only playing.
When the waiter came to take their orders, Hanseong ordered a drink with no ice, a bown of pasta, and then he looked at Soohyuk. “Can we order desert after?” He gave the other puppy eyes.
Hanseong shut his mouth but he stays quiet. As they pass by the door though, he pouts. “I totally meant disrespect.” He mumbled. “Her face was great.” He beamed though the smile disappeared soon after. “I’m in trouble aren’t I?” He asked, walking with the other.
He kept his gaze down a bit and followed him to a small restaurant. He ordered his food and sat with the other on one side of a booth. He sat between Soohyuk and the wall, pressing close to him. “I’ll apologize to her later...” He grumbled.
Hanseong smiled at the pets and he made himself comfortable in Soohyuk’s office. He would pass him anything he needed and step outside if the other needed to speak to a client.
It was time for lunch again when Bora knocked on the door and poked her head inside. Hanseong bristled, letting out a soft hiss of displeasure. “No. You go away. My boyfriend doesn’t wanna have lunch with you!” He growled, standing and pouting. “You don’t hide your lust very well either you cow.”
Hanseong spent the majority of the night curled up with Soohyuk and eating his food. He finally got his tail to disappear close to bed time and fell asleep quickly, the events of the day making him tired.
The next morning, he woke up with Soohyuk and dressed to go to work with him. He hadn’t been for a little while so he got a few surprised glances from Soohyuk’s coworkers. His hair was tied up today in a simple ponytail and he was wearing his light blue hanbok.
He clung to Soohyuk’s arm as they walked to his office. “I remembered my nametag.” He beamed up at the other. “So I won’t get into trouble if I wonder off.”
Hanseong dropped his hands from the other’s shirt and he jumped excitedly. “Yay! Okay.” He agreed easily. He was really excited, to the point that for the first time in his life, the dragon’s tail appeared while in human form, wriggling around within his shorts. It dangled out the leg of his left side and he gasped, blinking down at it.
“Oh... it came out. That’s new.” He curled the appendage around his leg. “I can’t help the bananas. You let them get brown and mushy.” He accused with a wrinkled nose. “Now. Order me food!” He demanded playfully. He couldn’t wait to go back to work with Soohyuk now. He just had to figure out how to make his tail disappear again.
Hanseong rocked on his heels. “Can we go on the date for real this time? This weekend?” He asked before ducking away to rummage in the fridge for something to eat. He had to admit, he was starving.
He chose not to comment on the fact that he threw the other’s lunch away and instead he shut the fridge with a pout. “Do we have bananas?” He looked around, opening the cabinets. “I really want a peanut butter and banana sandwich.” He pouted more. “If we are out then you should buy me takeout.” He tipped his head back until he was looking at Soohyuk upside down.
He turned around and giggled. “You wanna buy me food right?” He asked hopefully, clinging to the other’s clothes. “Please pleas please~” He smiled brightly.
Hanseong nodded, listening to the other speak and trying to accept his words. He couldn’t help but to be concerned though. He was falling fast and he didn’t have the wings to slow himself down.
His stomach rumbled loudly again as Soohyuk called him out on it and he blushed, pushing the covers aside. He shuffled out of the bed and towards the kitchen, looking back to make sure Soohyuk followed him. “I made you lunch... but yeah...” He gestured vaguely, a pout on his lips.
“Jealousy.... That’s what you mentioned before.” He said quietly, nodding when Soohyuk explained. So he was jealous. It made sense. He felt a little better when the other told him it was a normal feeling that others had often.
He licked his lips before biting it, shifting slightly. He didn’t know how to answer. “I wanna try but.... you’re not upset?” He questioned. “I’m not experienced like the people you play with.” He mumbled. “You won’t get tired having to teach me things?” He worried. “I’ve never been in a relationship before... well... not true... but it’s been a long time.”
Hanseong broke the kiss and he bit his lip, blushing. His hair fell like a curtain over his face, the weight of it pulling the curls down, it would be straight again soon. He looked back at him and his cheeks were still pink but he didn’t avert his gaze.
“I feel like...” He paused, not sure how to phrase it. “I’ve been alone for a really long time. I haven’t really had many friends. And we both know how experienced of a lover I am.” He rolled his eyes. “That... that woman.” His fingers tightened on Soohyuk’s shoulders, gripping and releasing them. “You’re the only important person I have. I’ve never been a mean person so why is she making me act like this?” He frowned.
“Whenever I think about her I get this heavy, hot feeling in my chest and it makes me angry. I just want to...” He shook his head. “I want you to look at me the way that she looks at you.” He mumbled.
Hanseong eventually settled into a calm sleepy state but never quite fell completely asleep. The storm slowly settled as well, the skies clearing up as night began to fall. He blinked his eyes, reaching up to rub them with a small pout and he looked up at Soohyuk, his brows furrowed.
He took his gloves off and reached up, touching Soohyuk’s neck. Instead of seeing the other’s memories, he thought of his own past. Hiding in the human world for all this time. How he’d fallen in love with this girl, only to realize he could never be sexually attracted to her. How he’d only had his first kiss recently and it was a simple peck on the cheek. He was lonely, he realized and a whine left him.
He shifted to his knees on either side of Soohyuk’s lap and pressed his lips to the lawyer’s, his hands still gently resting on Soohyuk’s neck.
“No I mean.” Hanseong sat up, tangling his fists in the blankets. “I chose you as my human... so I should take care of you and protect you but you protect and take care of me more... That’s all I meant.” He bit his lip.
“But I like it when you take care of me.” He watched Soohyuk get up and he tugged his hand, stopping him. He shook his head ‘no’, his breath hitching. “Don’t go. Can we eat later? I need a minute.” He tugged again. Hanseong couldn’t figure out why, but he desperately didn’t want to leave the room at the moment.
When he got Soohyuk to sit back down, he curled up against him, the storm calming slightly outside. He nuzzled against him, his cheek resting against Soohyuk’s chest.
Hanseong grumbled, thunder roaring outside. He pulled the covers more tightly around him. The pets to his back made him feel better but he was still upset and he didn’t want to admit why. When the other asked him about his storm, he pulled the blanket down slightly, peering out.
“....Yeah.” He sighed. “I can’t help it. I tried to calm down but I can’t.” He mumbled. “I don’t normally have control over such a big area...” He was worried he’d hurt someone in the city.
He rolled onto his back, looking up at Soohyuk. “I don’t want to share you yet.” He admitted. “You’re my human. The human I picked to watch over. But I’m not really a good watcher-overer.” He poked his lower lip out.
Hanseong pouted. “You could have told her no.” He reasoned. He looked away though when he was called jealous and his cheeks flushed. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I just don’t want people here yet. I’m not ready.” He frowned, it was partly true but not entirely.
He pushed his head against the pets slightly almost on instinct and he whined when the other stopped. “You’d let me cast rain on her in the house?” He questioned, doubting the truth of that one. “Because I will do it.” He frowned again, looking more cute than threatening.
“I did tell her that, but she walked into the place herself.” Soohyuk shrugged. He didn’t know why was he explaining himself when it was his apartment and he could do whatever he pleased. The younger’s reaction to being called jealous was definitely intriguing the older male, but…he let it slide. “If you say so.”
The other looked so cute when he was leaning into the pets like a little kitten, but Soohyuk didn’t want to spoil him too much with the pets. He laughed at the question, lightly shaking his head. “I’d appreciate if you would do it outside the apartment, because it will cost me a lot to replace the electronics.”
Hanseong smiled up at the other, excited that he was practically given permission to smite the woman. With his jealousy settled for now, the dragon got up and scurried off to make dinner.
It was more than a week later before he saw her again. Hanseong saw her walking with Soohyuk towards work and he assumed they had grabbed lunch. The dragon frowned, a wrinkle forming between his brows. Clouds rolled in but unlike the day he met Soohyuk, these clouds were dark and menacing. The dragon growled slightly and thunder rolled, startling a few people.
Hanseong turned and headed back towards home. He held no ill will towards Soohyuk, but he still dropped the lunchbox in the public trash before turning to head home, the storm steadily growing over the town as the dragon’s mood worsened.
