Patronus || Sirius + Emmeline
If there was any spellcasting as difficult and absolutely intimate as the Animagus transformation, it would most certainly be the Patronus. It made NEWT-level spellwork appear little more than child's play, and the trickiest part of the whole thing was needing a moment of pure happiness to conjure it. It was why so many witches and wizards were utterly unable to master it.
The Patronus was one of the spells his father hadn't taught him - and he darkly thought was unable to teach him - rather one he'd learned on his own. He'd managed, about a year ago, to cast a non-corporeal version with James, based on the memory of being sorted into Gryffindor, but it hadn't been until this past summer that he'd successfully cast a corporeal version. The memory of leaving Grimmauld Place forever and being welcomed home to the Potters' was what had finally given him the strength to cast the enormous dog, and it filled him with happiness and pride only surpassed by the Animagus transformation itself. It was a shimmering, brilliant Padfoot that raced with James' stag. Finally.
Now that he'd talked things through with Emmeline, he was almost beside himself with excitement, itching to start their private lesson that very moment. There were few students he thought capable of mastering the spell, but Emmeline was most certainly one of them, and he just knew the lesson was going to be brilliant. This was when Sirius came alive, diving into deep, ancient magic that challenged every fibre of his being.
Given the level of magic, and the utmost need for privacy, Sirius had chosen the Room of Requirement for the night's activities. He'd given Emmeline clear instructions on how to get in, and was currently pacing the room in anticipation, already focusing on his memory to get things started.
