12. Is your character from Castele or are they from some other part of Reveria or another world altogether?

Shawn: From Port Puerto but grew up in Castele.

Devin: From a land across the sea but after he was taken he grew up on both a boat and in Port Puerto.

Jamie: Was born on a boat and spent most of his younger years there and in Port Puerto.

Ashton: Was born in a land on the other side of the desert.

2. What’s your oc’s background story?

(These are still subject to change but hey, short versions!)

Shawn: She was born in Port Puerto to an elf mother and a human father, who then moved to Castele while she was still a child due to her father getting hurt. She originally wished to be a Paladin like her father but after only one day in that Life she decided that wasn't for her and switched to the Mercenary Life instead. Early in it she also attempted to pick up the Alchemy Life for kicks, though she had absolutely no skill for it. This was shown later when the explosives she crafted herself went off prematurely in the field, resulting in the loss of her left arm and both her legs above the knee.

After a period of recovery she was fitted with metal prosthetics and, thanks to Devin's help, discovered that with the right adjustments they could be enhancements rather than a hindrance. As a result she rose quickly through the ranks and was the first of the four to achieve the title of 'Hero'.

Devin: He was born overseas out of wedlock in an adulterous relationship to a noble (who's rank is yet unknown) and a peasant tailor. His mother died when he was young and, per her dying wish, he was taken to his biological father. His mere existence, however, was a stain on the family's name and his father's wife resented him for what he represented. So instead of accepting him as his child his father instead turned him into a servant boy in an attempt to hide him from the public eye. A series of events led to the mistreated kid being taken by pirates in what he refers to as a rescue, and he was adopted into the family of the pirate's kind of lover (a rather unusual captain of a 'legal' kind) and brought up with her children.

When it was time for him to pick a Life he chose to follow in his biological mother's footsteps and become a tailor, eventually discovering he had a knack for other crafting Lives as well. When his younger adopted sibling came to live with him he picked up the Magician Life alongside him as a way to provide moral support and ended up incorporating the magical abilities he gained into his other Lives as well.

Jamie: He is the youngest child of a sea captain referred to as 'Madam' and is also a halfling, though he hides most of his animalistic characteristics through cloaking spells. Though he lived most of his life on his mothers boat with his older brother and sister, he never really had any desires to take over the business, leaving that to his older sister Mochi. Instead he followed Devin inland and decided to follow the Wizard Life because it 'sounded fun'. He enjoyed it, but soon found an even greater love in performing and began training under Harmony, soon developing a very Kabuki style way in the process.

He incorporates magic into his acts and often plays female as well as male parts. Unfortunately, his obsession with theater has so far halted his advancements in his official life, much to the annoyance of Devin.

Ashton: She was born to a wealthy family of livestock breeders across the desert and had a fairly typical life up until it came time for her to choose a Life. She had always had a fascination with Hunters and as such chose to walk that path. She became a wanderer, and her wanderings soon led her to Castele. Seeing an opportunity, she decided to start her own animal based business alongside her Hunter Life and bought some land to in the West Grassy Plains.

Thanks to her heritage, she has a special way with beasts and prefers their company over people's. However, she has no qualms in doing what she has to for business or her own protection when it comes to dealing with them.

10. What one word does your oc use and abuse when they’re happy/excited or discovers something new? (for example huzzah! or hooray!)

Shawn: Awesome!

Devin: Brilliant!

Jamie: Whoa!

Ashton: Oh, wow!

15. If your oc forgot their weapons at home, what body part/parts (something appropriate) can they use to defend themselves? (for example their hair or eyes)

Shawn: Her arm is the first thing that comes to mind. She has metal, detachable limbs and has been known to use her arm as a club when the situation calls for it. However, her kicks can probably do as much damage as well.

Devin: He'd probably have to resort to using his mind over his strength even though he has muscles built up from his crafting. He's not very physical combat oriented.

Jamie: His teeth. They're pointed like a predator's and they can very easily draw blood. It wouldn't be too hard for him to literally tear someone a new one if he could get his teeth in them.

Ashton: She'd go to good ole fisticuffs. She has muscles from dealing with her animals as well as repeated shooting of her bow. Having older siblings also doesn't hurt in teaching you in knowing how to defend yourself.

6. What is your oc’s greatest flaw?

Shawn: Greed (She has a weakness for precious minerals and stuffed toys and hoards both. Even though she has an overabundance she can't help but collect more when given the opportunity, claiming she'll need them someday.)

Devin: Pride (Due to certain events early in his life he's decided that he will never be looked down at again. If something about his character or work as a craftsman gets contested or insulted he will often react poorly and in a childish manner. He craves respect.)

Jamie: Gluttony (Greed is a close second but what he's doing is really craving things. Attention, food, affection-he wants it all, often in a ridiculous quantity, and will do almost anything to obtain what he desires. He wants too much and is very self indulgent.)

Ashton: Wrath (She does not forgive easily and can hold grudges for much longer than reasonable. Her attitude ranges from straight out hatred to being passive-aggressive as anything to the target of her displeasure, and in extreme cases she almost takes satisfaction in making those who have wronged her hurt emotionally.)

7. What is your oc’s greatest asset?

Shawn: Loyalty (Once you've got her trust she will do almost anything for you. She's faithful almost to a fault and firm in her beliefs of the goodness of a person once she's made up her mind. She has no qualms in taking bodily or emotional harm in the stead of someone she cares about.)

Devin: Patience (He is the oldest and most mature of the four. As a result he often deals with the messes or childishness and situations his roommates get into. Despite his gruff attitude and threats though, it takes a lot to truly annoy him. He is also exceptionally good in dealing with children, animals, and emotional customers.)

Jamie: Tact (He has a silver tongue (most of the time) and prefers to avoid conflict of any kind if he can. He is good at mediating situations as well as convincing people to come to peaceful resolutions. His words are always carefully calculated.)

Ashton: Reliability (If she says she's going to get something done she's going to get it done-no matter what the cost. From favors for friends to customer orders, she always puts her all in what she does. She doesn't make promises lightly and hates ones that she can't keep.)

Shawn had been out of town visiting family and to his surprise had just arrived home to a house full of people. He shoved his way to his room, anger growing inside him. Of course Ash would throw a party without asking him but what pissed him off the most was seeing people with his shit. After kicking some people out of his room and tossing his bag inside Shawn set out to find Ash. His hand grabbed the back of his neck, dragging him away from his little circle of friends. “What the fuck is this?” He shot.

He was mumbling to himself in french, pushing around wires and miscellaneous items he had around his gaming setup. Shawn hated being far away from home, so he had his parents send him some of his favorite Canadian snacks. He was a little over protective of those treats. Walking into the living room, hues focused on the person sitting on the couch. “Did you take my last coffee crisp?”
