Ekaterina was walking along the sidewalk when she spotted a familar face in a crowd. No it couldn't be. "She disappeared." She whispered to herself when she saw Yelena. "No this can't be. She was gone. They didn't even have a search party for her. There was no sign that Yelena ever "exisited" but Ekaterina remembered vividly. She remembered being part of a peewee soccer team with Yelena. She remembered being best friends with Yelena. She remember refusing more friends because she was so afraid of losing them the way she lost Yelena. Ekaterina quickened her pace to catch up with Yelena. When she got close she tapped the other's shoulder. "Excuse me but are you Yelena?" She asked. She wanted to be sure she got the right person and not a stranger that had the same face as Yelena. -@the-forgotten-belova

Yelena's face may look the same, but she's changed a lot since their days on the West Chesapeake Valley Thunderbolts (sponsored by Shane's Tire Shop). There's a hardness to her now that hadn't been there when she was a kid. That light inside her that had seemed to keep everyone on the team in high spirits had dimmed considerably. She'd been through hell so many times since she'd been taken back to Russia that night that she wasn't sure she could ever be anything close to that little girl again.

So when a woman wearing her face tapped her on the shoulder, she was met with a wary and confused expression as Yelena gave the stranger a long look.

"...Yes?"
