Hey, do you have any headcanons of what could happen after Tron: Uprising? I'm really fond of your interpretations and ideas and I'm really keen to know, what you think :)
Wow, thank you for the compliment! I definitely appreciate it.
As for my post-Uprising headcanons, I’ve only a few, but I really do enjoy thinking that Beck was eventually derezzed by the hands of Tronzler. It’s a big downer, but I also think the derezzing of the Renegade would really bring a lot of attention to how serious Clu’s strict regime is. Not only is the first hero alive and repurposed, but he is the one to end the second hero’s life.
Argon is a fairly small city on the Grid, so maybe their uprising didn’t reach the major parts of it, but I do think Mara, Zed, the garage crew, and the rest of whoever joins the uprising would try their best to instill change as much as they possibly can. Especially with larger numbers. They would fight alongside the Renegade until his demise and cause complete anarchy because of it.
As for the Occupation… I think Tesler would attempt to milk as much as he could with his power trip over Paige’s command. The revelation of Tesler’s lies needs to come from somewhere, of course. Dyson replaces Tesler by Clu’s order, maybe Dyson finds the memory somehow, uses it to coax Paige to his side, and it backfires miserably. Pavel continuously tries to suck up to everyone, but the combination of Paige’s defection + Dyson’s rule gets him derezzed.
I really cannot see Paige turning to the uprising though. Even if she learns that Beck is the Renegade, I don’t think she would do it because it would compromise her own beliefs and everything she is against. I do think if she fully well knows Tron is alive, then that would change her entire view on things completely. She would remain a completely neutral party, though she would still fight for Tron (Order on the Grid) on her own accord. She would use her medic programming for good.
(I also think Lora may have had a part of programing her, which is why it would make sense for Paige to be the page to Alan. Maybe there is some lingering sense of User connections and Program connections transferred from the System to the Grid.)
I don’t think “No Bounds” was the last we saw of Cyrus, but I cannot really pin down where he would come back in the post-Uprising world… I could see him raising hell for the fun of it until he meets an unfortunate end or maybe some strange higher plane of programming existence that only he could reach.
