Surprise! ~ Sturniolo triplets

"Nate, do you think this is a good idea?"

"Of course it is! They'll love to see you!"

You were currently contemplating if flying from Boston to LA alone was a wise idea. Nate was trying to tell you it was, as he had done it for the triplets nineteenth birthday. Your plan was to fly to LA, uber to the triplets place and spend a couple weeks with them. However, you were nervous to fly alone.

"You'll be fine. You've got a week to make sure you have the right ticket and when your at the airport, it's okay to ask the staff." Nate reassured you.

You nodded and knew it was all in good spirit to see your three identical friends.

A week later you had Nate go with you to the airport, the boy calming your nerves and helping you find your gate. Once you were about to board the plane, you gave Nate a quick hug.

"Thanks for helping." You said, making the boy chuckle.

"Your welcome, I'll pick you up once you get back. Tell the guys I said hi." He replied.

"Don't act like you and Chris aren't talking every second of the day." You said with a giggle, making him laugh again.

You waved as you got on the plane, relaxing before it took off. You had your earpods in as you listened to music, making the flight feel more relaxed and calm.

Once you arrived in LA, you went to find your suitcase, which luckily came round quick, before going to call an uber. One soon arrived and you got in, giving them the triplets' address.

You decided to see what the guys were up too, not wanting to interrupt anything important, so you messaged Nick.

Nothing much, just watching Matt beat Chris in Fortnite and listening to his screaming. What about you?

You left it simple as you didn't want to give anything away. When you arrived you thanked the driver and got yourself and your luggage out. You walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. You waited a couple minutes before Nick answered.

"Hi!" You cheered.

"Hey....holy fuck!" He screamed, pulling you and your luggage into the house, before picking you up and hugging you tightly.

"Hey to you too." You managed to say as you were being squeezed.

Nick smiled and pulled you upstairs to the main area, both Chris and Matt seeing you now.

"Holy shit! What are you doing here!" Matt shouted, rushing over to hug you. Chris hugging you straight after.

"Surprise!" You said, smiling at the trio.

"How long are you here for?" Chris questioned.

"Two weeks. Nate convinced me to fly alone." You answered.

"Well we're glad your here. Wait you messaged me like just now." Nick said, making you smile.

"Yeah I couldn't answer and say I was in an uber coming to yours!" You exclaimed, making him laugh.

"Fair. You can sleep in my room. Let me take your stuff." He replied, already taking your bags up to his room.

"I'm glad you came to surprise us." Matt said, bringing you in for another hug.

"Me too." You replied.

You knew the next two weeks would be fun.

🎨: Quinn and Jaxon brought the twins by 🥰. Quinn was pretty upset she had to find out about Drew from Jaxon, but she didn’t give me a hard time. She just told me that she and Jaxon would look after us, and then she held out her hand for our secret handshake. Seemed my younger sister was taking up the big sister role. It didn’t make me feel any less like her big sister; it made me feel proud and loved. Quinn felt like she was in a place in her life to offer me help, and she loved me enough not to say I told you so.

As the door closed behind you, you kicked your snowy boots off and slid your jacket off, hanging it on the rack. You were surprised that you couldn’t hear anyone. Typically when you’d come home, you could hear the siblings bickering, but tonight it was quiet.

A blonde head peeked around the corner.

“You’re here!” Omega gasped, running at you.

You crouched to meet her in a hug. “Hey, kiddo,” you smiled. “Where is everyone?”

Omega pulled away, looking almost conflicted. 

“Meg,” you chuckled nervously. “You’re not here by yourself, are you?”

“No,” she said quickly. 

“Who else is here?”

“Well, everyone was home…”

You brushed her bangs out of her eyes, tilting her face to look at you.

“What’s going on, Omega?” you asked. “Where did your brothers go?”

“They went with Gregor,” she finally answered. “Except for Echo. He’s upstairs…”

“About time he visited,” you mumbled as you stood, quickly walking further into the house. 

“With Rex,” she finished.

You froze and your heart started to pound in your chest as you glanced at her over your shoulder. “Rex is here?”

She nodded. “They got in an hour ago. Echo brought Rex upstairs, and everyone else went with Gregor. He- he was– he’d been in bacta.”

You nodded solemnly, anxiety gnawing at your gut as you made your way to the home medical wing the boys had set up in their house. 

You choked back a gasp as you entered the room. Rex lay asleep on the medical bed, his midsection wrapped in layer after layer of bandages. You could see where the bacta healed cuts and bruises all over his body, leaving hints of yellow marks and silvered lines. 

Echo had pulled a chair to his bedside, his head in the crook of his arm. He seemed to be asleep. That’s probably why Omega stayed so quiet.

You turned your attention back to Rex, your hand brushing his cheek. “Oh, darling,” you whispered. “What happened to you?” 

“Mesh’la,” he sighed as his eyes fluttered open.

You startled a little, pulling your hand away and stepping back. He chuckled so softly you thought you’d imagined it. 

“Didn’t n- know you were here?” he breathed. 

You struggled to stifle a laugh; whatever pain medication Tech and Echo had him on clearly affected his lucidity. 

“I live here,” you told him. 

“Oh,” he hummed. “Oh, yeah. With- mmm… with Cross.” 

Your cheeks flushed. “Not- not with him. I mean, he lives here, too but I don’t n- I’m not–”

“Easy, mesh’la,” Echo chuckled. You hadn’t realized he was awake. “You deny it any harder, you might explode.”

“I just mean that we’re not–”

“‘S’okay,” Rex mumbled. “He- can take care of you now.”

“Rex–”

Echo called your name. “He’s barely lucid,” he explained. “He doesn’t know what he’s saying.”

“I do,” Rex protested, louder than he had been, and caused a coughing fit.

Echo jumped up to hold his former captain steady, who tried to wave him off. 

“‘M fine,” he rasped. “M–mesh’la, I know I didn't take care of you like I shoulda–” he coughed harshly. “If- if Cross takes- if he can take care of you–”

“Rex,” you finally stopped him.

He finally fell back against the bed. You sat on the edge of it, your hand coming up to cup his cheek. 

“Rex, I know you’re on some strong meds and I don’t know if you’re going to understand,” you said, biting your lip. “But you left me. You decided to go back and fight. You broke my heart to keep me away but I can fight with you.  Crosshair has been a good friend, but I’ve only ever wanted you. Ni- ni kar’tayl… gar darasuum, Rex.”

Rex closed his eyes tightly. “No, I-I can’t– ner runi ru'kel ash'amur ures gar,” he pleaded. “Ni linibar at cabuor gar, mesh’la. Gedet’ye.”

You couldn’t understand what he was saying; Crosshair and Tech had helped you learn how to tell Rex you loved him, but that and the couple nicknames they all had for you was pretty much the extent of your mando’a knowledge. 

But you did know that Rex tended to slip into using language exclusively when he couldn’t control his emotions. Whatever he was telling you, he meant it from his never-planted roots.

“Bic cuyir ori'shya cyarir par ni,” he said. “Gar cuyir ner oyu'baat.”

You glanced at Echo–his eyes sad and sympathetic–then back to Rex.

“I love you, Rex,” you whispered, certain that your voice would break if you spoke any louder. “I– I’ll leave you alone. I’m sorry.”

You left quickly, Echo calling your name. He caught up to you in the hallway, his hand on your shoulder.

“‘My soul would die without you’,” Echo said.

You blinked at him. “What?”

“‘My soul would die without you. I need to protect you, please,’” he translated. “‘It is more than love for me, you are my universe.’ That’s what he said.”

A/N: Thank you anonymous for waiting so patiently for me to write your prompt. I did enjoy writing this and it was nice to write a different character pairing than I’ve done before. Never pictured the pair together before and didn’t know anyone saw them as a pairing either. So I hope I did this one justice for you.

Summary: Aaron finishes onset for the day and as he walks into his trailer he unexpectedly finds his friend Tom laying asleep on the couch naked. The nakedness isn’t unexpected, it's his presence, but not unwelcomed by any means.

Aaron had finally finished his last scenes for the day and headed back to his trailer. To his surprise he found his friend Tom laying on the couch butt naked. The door closed with a soft click behind Aaron before he quietly walked over to Tom’s sleeping form. Taking his time to take in every detail and committing to memory like he hadn’t done before. Despite their previous shared intimacy Aaron hadn’t taken his time quite like this until now. If I Make It to the Morning

Prompt B3: "Surprise Visit" to continue PWHL Lions for Day 4 of @oknutzy-week-2024. I cannot get enough of them, thank you @lumosinlove for making such brilliant characters and letting us play with them like paper dolls.

They were just so goddamn cute.

Finn bit down on her spoon, holding it between her teeth with her arms crossed over her chest until she felt like she could breathe without shrieking. Leo had woken for a few seconds, only to close her eyes and sink back into sleep easier than Finn had ever seen. Logan, who used to jerk awake at the faintest click of the front door, snored softly as if the whole city wasn’t waking outside.

They were so cute, and it was such a goddamn problem.

Logan was…god, Logan just was. She was, in her way, and Finn had never been able to get over it, not even after a year without so much as a stray meme on Instagram even though she knew Logan opened every single one of her private stories. Finn hadn’t expected the surprise visit to her apartment—had thought Logan would be long gone, celebrating this insane dream come true with her new teammates. But Logan had come, Logan had stayed, Logan had allowed hugs she melted into and for Finn to take her to a restaurant where she laughed like nothing had changed.

Twenty-four hours passed. Logan got an Uber to the airport, Finn went to bed, and in the morning there was Leo. Bright and golden in overalls that made her look eight feet tall. A thin teal ribbon adorned her ponytail in a floppy bow that Finn wanted, desperately, to pull until it unraveled.

I’m Finn, Finn O’Hara. She had had to remind herself of her own last name. Come on in, your bedroom’s down the hall.

The books that had filled Leo’s duffel now sat snug on their IKEA bookshelves, tucked in with Finn’s like they were meant to be there. Her pots and pans were perfectly organized in the cabinets behind Finn’s head so she could reach them with ease. When Finn took a deep, fortifying breath, Leo’s magnolia room spray lingered in the air around her.

It was all so new and yet it felt so old, in the way an heirloom blanket was just the right softness and just the right length from years of comfort. The blanket Finn had bought to make this place feel a little more like home covered the expanse of Leo’s legs on one side of the couch and crept all the way up to Logan’s chest on the other. It was a fuzzy green thing; twenty dollars from Target, hardly something to be passed down. Finn wanted to hold it forever.

It was new and old and precious, and Finn could have absolutely none of it, so she bit her spoon and crossed her arms and waited for the coffeepot to finish hissing so she had an excuse to wake them up. Which happened to be the last thing she wanted.

It would be so convenient for Logan to miss her flight back to Minnesota. Maybe the storm had flooded a drain on their street. Maybe a tree had fallen somewhere between here and the hotel for the rest of her team. Maybe Finn could curl up in the armchair beside them and—whoops! Oh no! Overslept! Far too late to rush out, now, better if Logan just stayed a little longer in a place where she felt so right.

Leo’s Mardi Gras shirt fit her better than most of Finn’s clothes ever had.

These two would be the end of her.

“Rouge?”

God. “Yeah?” Finn answered, hoarse.

Logan mumbled something sleepy and low, stretching over the arm of the couch until her back cracked. “When time?”

“ ‘Bout eight.” Finn cleared her throat and took a sip of coffee. “I was going to get you up soon. Figured we’d drop you off at nine, nine-thirty.”

“Mmm.” Logan blinked at her a few times, slow and foggy with the morning, before squinting around the room. Her vibrant gaze hesitated on Leo. “Fell asleep during the show.”

“Me, too,” Finn said quietly. “Guess we were all tired.”

Logan hummed again. Leo slumbered on. The hall clock ticked down the seconds until Logan would return to her team, to Minnesota, to texts every other day.

None of them made any attempt to move.
