"hey." he turns his head to look up at the other, half-dressed and hunched over a cigarette on the back porch. sighs as he sets eyes on ashton standing in the doorway, half-relief and half-exhaustion. his phone is next to him on the concrete, lighting up every few seconds as the notifications scroll and scroll...he's calling, he's texting, he got home early to find uriel wasn't in their bed and now he won't leave him alone. after the first one he couldn't sleep, eventually left ashton's bed but can't bring himself to leave his house, to go home to whatever's waiting. shuts it off completely instead - once it starts going direct to voicemail he'll know uriel's seen it, that he's being ignored, it'll only make everything that much worse. he forces the guilt and fear further down, lets it be a thrill, a high, instead of a weight, and crosses towards him.

"couldn't sleep." passes him the cigarette and wraps his arms around him, lays his head on his shoulder as he murmurs, "think you could wear me out?"

Blinks and looks down at the wolf. Neil kneels down and offers a warm smile, allowing her to sniff his hand. "Hello, there! How are you?"

"Huh?" He blinks. "N-No, I'm fine! You don't need to worry about me." He shakes his head a couple of times. "But what about you? Are you alright?"

" huh ? what do you mean ? " neil looked confused, tilting his head. " what do i have to do ? " he felt anxious all of a sudden, like there was something he had forgotten. what was it? he couldn't be certain, and he started visibly shaking.
