Speaking my truth i hate the 'haha Rocky would HATEEE Simon and be CONSTANTLY rude to him and Simon would just grumble about it and Grace would be like "Rocky omg stop don't!" and then move on.'
Rocky clearly territorial in a sense and he cares abt Grace a lot lot. But Simon literally is just. There. It is very clear Simon is very hurt and very alone and very traumatized. If Grace just lets Rocky be a genuine mean asshole to Simon who makes Simon think he doesnt deserve to be there and stuff? Thats. Bad.
If your best friend irl started being a genuine outward asshole to someone who you know is traumatized and who you care about or love you would hopefully do more than just "rocky dont >:/" and then moving on. Its just mean. Can Simon be treated kindly for once, please. Simon is canonically not even that mean or aggressive and so much suddenly accepted headcanons pretend like he would Not Care about Rocky being mean to him. He literally mourns the fact that no one cares enough abt him to keep him alive in the IL movie. He would most certainly care that this alien also doesn't like him and would not be apathetic or grumbly about it - it would verify some deep rooted beliefs he has abt himself and the world around him.
