I was reading this wacky book called "the bible" and I think whoever wrote it kept sneaking in references to the Amazing digital circus....indie animation stays winning
#omg its so cool to see other media referencing indie animated pilots#tadc#the amazing digital circus#caine#tadc fanart#tadc caine#im about to switch into 24/7 mermaid mode#but this popped into my head and I needed to draw it#but yeah anyway obviously Caine is like Cain because he killed his ‘brother’#but also yknow. you create something that can make things that please you#and then don’t like the things it gives you#even thought you created it in a way that made it bad at giving these things to you.#then it kills the better newer thing that you loved#and also uh. Cain’s biblical punishment is that he can no longer till the earth— the earth rejects him#like Caine DigitalCircus trapped in a digital purgatory where he can’t ever make anything ‘real’#and also that Cain’s punishment is to be ‘hidden from Your face’#and Caine DigitalCircus is all about abandonment issues from his creators & humans in general#and finally uh. biblical Cain knows he’ll he hated — that because God has abandoned him#in this world where the earth cries out against him#people will want to Kill him.#and yeah Caine DigitalCircus kinda ended up in the same situation— sorta doomed to make everyone hate him and want him dead#til they eventually do euthanize him.#but then obviously there’s the Mark of Cain#[god puts a mark on Cain so that whoever kills him— Cain will be avenged on him sevenfold]#so anyway the circus humans’ll have to deal with that.#I tried to make the font Rainbow but it didn’t show properly in the gif so I had to settle for pure white and red#*red
