Dan sharing his piano practice | 02.03.21
Phil: I saw Dan was playing the piano, over on Insta stories. That's just a window into
Dan *quietly*: I was scared.
Phil: Yeah, that's like a window into what my life is like most days. Like, Dan is a piano machine.
Dan: ... and what?
Phil *happy laughter*: No, no! It's nice! It's like have a constant musical background in your life.
Dan: Why do I think that there's a weird "but"? What point are you making?
Phil: There's no weird- I'm just complimenting your piano skills.
Dan: Phil, are you saying I have a weird butt? Okay.
Phil: No.
Dan: But what?
Phil: But-
Dan: So there I am, practicing the piano, and what, Phil?
Phil: Yeah. It sounds NICE. It's definitely, practice has improved you. That sounded... also quite snide. I didn't mean it like that!
Dan: That was completely shady and unnecessary.
Phil: No! My favourite band is obviously Muse, so to have you playing Muse in the house, is like-
Dan: To have me playing the first 15 seconds of a song for 50 minutes must be very fun for you.
Phi: Yeah! Although it's kind of annoying for Dan when I start actually singing as Matt Bellamy because then it kind of ruins the beautiful tinkling. Tinkling.
Dan: I don't like the word tinkle. Hmm.
Phil *loudly*: Tinkle.
Dan: I've been learning a lot of classical music recently. I challenged myself to learn Moonlight Sonata. And then I was like, I'm going to relax 'cause the thing is with pop songs is that they're quite short and simple, so they're quite easy to learn. And then classical music is like seven minutes of someone freestyle jazz soloing and it's like complicated and all showing off, so I was like: I want to learn some Muse. Decided Space Dementia, looked it up. I'm not going to learn that in 400 years. I saw a bunch of people on Twitter going: Oh my God, I can't wait until you play the whole thing - it's such a cool sounding song. Space Dementia by Muse. And I'm like... that would be a lovely thing to dream about.
Phil: It would for sure.
Dan *sincere tone*: I was scared to post that. It was weird. I feel like people are judging me. Because that was just me practicing, right?
Phil: Yeah.
Dan: But on the internet, when people post stuff. You know it's the whole "Instagram thing" where people only share the best bits of their life. People only post the photos were they look nice, the videos where they are doing cool stuff, the stuff where they are at their most perfect. And I was like, here's just me, slapping something on a Sunday. And I was like, what if people are like: Your technique is bad! But people were nice. So... maybe that encouraged me. To share more. Who knows what I'll share next. What will I be encouraged to post?

Artık tükenmişliğe doğru gidiyorum. Görüşmelerde kendimi sabırsızlanırken buluyorum. Kendimi dert yanarken buluyorum sağa sola. Dişimi sıkıp bu durumu kendi içimde halletmeye çalışacağım.
So yeah. Mejo nabawasan stress ko kasi nagkaron na ko ng kateam kaya lamg di rin sila familiar sa gagawin namin. Gg pa din.
