Sam’s on top of the shifter - who looks exactly like Dean - the shifter is on his back, mouth agape, eyes wide with fear, and Sam’s straddling him. His left hand is on the shifter’s neck, squeezing tightly, and his right is repeatedly pummeling the creature. Blow after blow is thrown on not-Dean, who struggles to breathe. Blood spurts from his eye. From a cut Sam slices on his cheek. Sam’s teeth are clenched and spit is flying from his mouth.

He’s filled with rage.

“You’re not him! You’re not my brother! I’ll kill you! Do you hear me? I’ll fucking tear you apart!”

Aggression and anger unlike any the other had ever seen from Sam.

Sam was always the kind one. Always gentle.

This.

This was something new.

Almost feral.

The creature, now unconscious from Sam’s attack, did not respond. Sam continues to shake and punch him.

Dean pushes past Bobby and lunges toward his brother.
