I needed to really take a breather today.

Why does my baby cry and whine so much ? Since this morning she's been non stop. She has been Crying for everything and anything. I just dont know what to do anymore, I'm at my wits end. I literally just dropped on the floor and started to cry out of frustration. I prayed to god to please give me patience. I can only take so much. I love her, I adore her... I do everything in my power to try and make her happy. I fed her, I changed her, we played for a while... and yet she cries and cries. But, she's not crying out of pain or sickness, she cried because I won't let her take off my glasses, because I won't let her pull the blinds, because I won't let her crawl to the stove area. These are tantrums! When she doesn't get her way she throws herself back and clinches her fists, she even hit me and that was not ok. I put her in her crib and she cried bloody murder. I needed a break, I walked out and let her cry. I dont know what to do.

I called my mom for some advice, and apparently I was the same way. But my mom used a lot of physical discipline and that's not something I am ok with. My mom was strict and wasn't afraid to wack, spank, slap me all through the child hood to teenage years. I feel that has caused a lot of underlining self esteem issues and not something I want to do to her.

All I can do, I feel, is just put her in her crib when she's acting up ,she's only 11 months, so I don't know what else to do. Eli took her and she fell asleep in her stroller fir about 45 minutes and I took some time to just close my eyes. I don't want to be this way. I do feel calmer and she's nursing now. I hope the rest of the day is better.

Any suggestions?
