There was a bit of frost around this morning for long run. I am building up my distance again. Need to find a race. Hubby had been for his first walk since his surgery. I met him by the park where he reported all went well. I headed into the forest and ran all the hills before heading into the forest trails. It was freezing under the trees so I headed for the beach and ran in the sunshine. When I got home Hubby had been baking so the house was warm and smelt amazing.

Normally I feel like I'm running slow but my stats prove otherwise but today I felt slow and I was ☹️🤬

I don't know why, maybe because my muscles are tired, maybe because my feet hurt, maybe because my heart wasn't in it. Who know. Anyway it made me so angry that I really smashed out the weights, moving up a weight, to get my frustration out so silver lining I guess.

I slept in, boy did I need that extra couple of hours sleep. After a leisurely breakfast and a quick Wordle I got ready to run. It was chilly out but not too bad. Once I got going I regretted the two layers I had put on although I was grateful for them when running the homeward leg into the wind. Nice run, pretty much had the forest and the beach to myself. Helped one lost mountain biker find her way back to the car park and only got tangled up with one shaggy dog.
