I could see Keiji's mini episode taking place in the time span between the shooting and the death game. Maybe we'd get to see Keiji (not) deal with his grief and get a glimpse of what he was actually doing when he was taken. (Because he told Sara that he was taken on an investigation, but he's not a cop anymore so that can't be true.)
I could also see the episode taking place in his childhood. Maybe we'd get to see his Mother and learn more about his ambitions to become a police officer.
I really think it'll be related to his time as a cop considering all of the mini episodes so far have been an important flashback to the participants past, and the most important part of Keiji's past is the shooting and the lead up to the shooting.
