How would you feel about always-a-girl kane (or toews?) You have such unique twists on common tropes like fake dating or soulmarks, I know you'd do something really your own with it... You have this gift of writing them so *comfortable* with each other (e.g., sunbathing or bathhouse) and would be vv cool to see that play out w/ m/f dynamics... (Plotty and angsty would be great too!)
Hmm! I haven’t actually read too many AAG stories because the teammate aspect is what always interests me about sports RPF, so it’s not very interesting to me if one of them isn’t an athlete, and then it can be hard to imagine a woman actually making it in the NHL. I will say Patrick Kane has the kind of skillset (small, fast) that seems more likely for the kind of woman who could make it, but now that I’m thinking about it, it seems most likely that a goalie would be the first woman in the NHL — and Jonny’s got more of the build for that.
…I also kind of feel like I might want to set something like that back a ways, in major juniors or ooh, a college setting? Because then some of the angst could be about how Pat is likely to get drafted but the road forward for Jonny will be much harder. And of course they would take forever to get together, because Jonny has to prove herself constantly and doesn’t want to get accused of sleeping around (she’s very, very serious about her career, she wants to beat the odds).
Yeah, now that I’m thinking about it, girl goalie Jonny who’s a couple inches taller than Pat really has me intrigued. Thank you for the idea!!

It's great mental imagery, is it not. He'd just look at you with those eyes and you'd simultaneously want the illness to just off him already and put you out of your misery, AND you'd want to take all his pain because BABE. BABEEEEEEEEEE. The worst/best part would be is that he has no conception of how undignified and sad he is being, 'cause he thinks he's all stalwart and brave, and that only compounds the tragedy.

I somehow missed that it was puppy tazer week!! Tooooo adorable. (I was home this week with a fever too: great feverish minds think alike, or maybe we just want a puppy!tazer to cuddle when we're bored and wretched). :))))
Well, I arbitrarily decided/declared it, so. And yes, I tend to find writing puppy Tazer soothing, and by god, do I need a lot of soothing these days. He should be cuddled in blankets and plied with food and Kaners like the best little puppy emperor. Or maybe I'm just talkin' about me.
