First time we encounter the toxic green alien blood (and it fucks Mulder up)

Scully actually apologizes to Mulder for not trusting his intuition

Scully trades alien "fetus" she stole from lab in exchange for Mulder's life

Deep Throat is assassinated when Mulder is returned :(

At the end of it all, the X-Files get officially shut down

Score: 9/10

Watch it? Yes, essential mythology and a great first finale. This one isn't a two-parter but it ends with a big cliffhanger nonetheless.
