I was talking with a friend about the validity of 3 meals a day. That was just something made up to keep people buying more than they need.
While I’m on a journey of weight loss I also want to me more aware of what I buy and waste less. No other animal eats square meals they only eat when they are hungry. I know I get hungry in the morning and mid afternoon but for years I have been forcing myself to eat dinner why?
My new approach is from the Kellogg’s diet two breakfasts and a meal at night well it’s much healthier.
Morning starts with overnight oats
30-40 grams (depending on how hungry)
One pot vegan yogurt (plain or cherry)
Almond milk (as much or as little as desired)
1-2 teaspoons almond butter (for healthy fats can substitute for ground almonds just remember to add a teaspoon coconut oil to still get good fats)
If at night I find I’m hungry I will have something healthy but if not then it’s ok as long as I get a minimum 1200 calories throughout the day from my oats and snacks it’s fine.
And finish with 5-6 fresh or frozen cherries 🍒
Obviously on cold mornings I will make hot porridge with the same ingredients.
I want to have a second helping in my bag for lunch just have green tea/coffee if I want something hot
Then snacking on fruits / veggies
Please don’t think I’m saying it is a goal to not eat in the evening I’m not what I’m saying is that it’s not worth forcing if you are genuinely not hungry.
