TMNT 2012
No thoughts, head empty-A AU where after the events of the main series, Leo was unlucky enough to get kidnapped by a group of surviving triceratons and the resulting interrogation via a psionic extractor leads to the discovery of a unexpected side effect of repeated use on mutants. Leo, now renamed 'Blue', gets taken by the triceratons back into space and while his loved ones quickly start the long struggle to figure out where he is and rescue him, 'Blue' doesn't even know he needs rescuing.
(Not) a Kid's Show-A totally (not) normal saccharine kid's show featuring our cheerful, albeit lonely, host named Leo. Don't worry about the scary moments, there just there to get more of your attention! Your attention is very, very needed to keep the show going!
Little Leo-A more light-hearted idea featuring a AU where Leo became depressed after Splinter's death to the point his brothers saw the need for drastic action. The conclusion they came to was to use a device of Donnie's design to mentally regress Leo for periods of time, with Little Leo seeing the others as his big brothers and caretakers. This way, Leo will let his brothers take care of him, but only for a week each month, and only until Leo improves enough to take care of himself again, even if his brothers find themselves enjoying their time with Little Leo than they expected...
From a Home to a Tomb-A divergence AU where in the final battle against Super Shredder, Leo's brothers don't survive. This causes everyone else to struggle with their absence, especially April, Casey, and Leo is the worst off struggling to keep going. Though it seems like Leo's brothers, along with many others, may not be as gone as they seem...
Mikey's Musical Reign-Set after the main series ended, and things have become rather boring for the brothers and their allies. Then one night leads to Mikey accidentally acquiring a crown that allows him to manipulate reality into whatever he wants, but it becomes clear quickly that the cost of this power is him losing his sanity more and more. When this madness escalates to Mikey deciding to turn New York into his personal eternal party kingdom. After losing most of his potential allies to Mikey's influence, Leo is left to tackle the situation with the help of a mysterious fairy named Ella, hoping they will be able to stop Mikey before his connection to the crown becomes irreversible and he spreads his never-ending party to the whole world.
The Domino Turtle-After a mission gone wrong, Leo finds himself in a future where mutants, humans, and even aliens all live side by side, but at the cost of the world having been taken over by a mysterious new group known as the Clan. Leo joins the resistance in hopes of finding a way back to his own time, but he feels his new allies are hiding some things from him...
What were you expecting?-A divergence AU where after the season 2 finale, the Kraang quickly turn on the Foot Clan, seeing them as being of no use anymore other than being new test subjects. Mainly follows Shredder after he's turned into a mutant turtle and struggles to hang on to his pride and sanity throughout the experiments and tortures he endures from the Kraang.
Turtle Kids-A TMNT/Lego Monkie Kid role swap that mutated into something still clearly inspired but has a lot of its own aspects now. The core story follows a group of four teens living in a place known as Liberty City. After the Demon Tortoise King broke free from his long sealing, the four find themselves becoming the students of the legendary Turtle King, who will change their lives in ways they could've never imagined.
Cookie Run
It's a Very Strange World-A puppet suddenly finds itself alive and aware, and must now travel around a world that is both familiar but clearly twisted in pursuit of a feeling that he once was someone else, and along the way he makes allies, enemies, and sees strange sights as he gets closer to the truth of the world.
The Odd House-A group of six kids find themselves waking up in a house, lacking any memories about their pasts and being told they are now under the care of a adult named First Vinegar Cookie who assures them they are better off now. Some of the kids are content to accept this while others want to pursue the truth as they investigate the house and the strange lands nearby in hopes of answers.
Usurper-A AU where Dark Choco inherited the throne to the Dark Cacao Kingdom and appears to have led it into a thriving era with many allies in other kingdoms and lands, and it is agreed by most who've met him that he is a kind and reasonable ruler. So when GingerBrave and his friends come in hopes of seeking Dark Cacao's aid against Dark Enchantress' forces, they are brought before King Dark Choco. He regretfully informs them that his father was kidnapped not that long ago by a couple of soldiers who were once trusted but for unknown reasons went rogue, and the soul jam of Resolution has been missing for years and is suspected as being stolen by a traitorous advisor who ran long ago before he could be brought to justice. GingerBrave's group offer to help find both Dark Cacao and the missing soul jam, and while Dark Choco expresses some doubt, he accepts their offer of help. But as the group learn more and more, they realize things are not as they seemed to be...
Tamed Longan-A very underdeveloped idea mainly focused on the idea of a more morally gray version of Millennial Tree managing to use magic in order to render Longan Dragon down to being a docile pet in order to stop the dragon's plan to destroy cookie kind without having to see Longan be killed, as well as possibly some more selfish motives. No real story for it, just a idea.
hello! About your tmnt 2012 swap thing, what’s Alopex doing? My first thought was that she’d be swapped with Tigerclaw (being evil and joining Splinter as a bounty hunter or something) but that would imply her doing to Tigerclaw what her brother did to her and it sounds like you didn’t do that so now I’m curious lol
ALSO is Fugitoid swapped with the triceratons?
I'm gonna be completely honest with you, I completely forgot that Alopex existed.
There are so many characters to remember in this show, and I haven't seen the last couple later seasons in years so the details have left me :')
So thank you, because now I actually have someone to officially swap with Tigerclaw XD Until recently he was just an ethical bounty hunter who was good friends with Shredder.
So I guess not much changes in the AU other than Alopex is to Splinter as Tigerclaw was to Shredder in the show. Tigerclaw just gets more lore I guess lol.
As for Fugitoid and the Triceratons, I haven't gotten that far in planning out the AU yet. I've basically gotten through what could be considered like the first two seasons - I haven't even touched the space arc yet.
Which I know technically the Triceratons appear before the space arc, but you get my point.
I kind of like the idea of swapping the Triceratons and Kraang with where they live, in the sense that the Kraang are stuck wandering around while the Triceratons live in Dimension X. It lines up well with what I already have planned for the AU with how the Kraang are involved in things, so yeah.
Anyway, hope that answers your question!
This might be unpopular, but I don’t like those Rise/2012 crossover fics where the Rise Turtles go around brutally murdering the 2012 Kraang
Basically, I think it’s fucked up how so many fics portray the Rise Turtles as these super-violent assholes who go around brutally murdering other-universes’ Krang/Kraang/Utroms, especially since they’re typically portrayed as like “misunderstood heroes” in those fics. This is for a number of reasons, including:
1. I personally don’t like when mindless mass-murder is portrayed heroically like this, including when it’s done to sapient/selfaware nonhuman species(like the Kraang/Utroms). I just think it’s fucked-up, especially when it’s done because they are their group/species rather than because of any actions they might have done. I’m not opposed to murder in fiction, and even find it cathartic when it’s awful people being murdered for the fucked-up shit that they’ve done; I just don’t like when murder is done because the person is a certain group(or in this case species), especially when the murderer is portrayed as sympathetic and/or heroic for it(which also reminds me too much of shit i went through in another fandom).
2. It also makes the Turtles look bad, even if you don’t care about the Kraang or the morality of fictional murder. They act like violent monsters in some of these fics, especially the ones where they don’t even have specific Kraang they’re targeting(eg. 2012 Krang Prime or Kraang Subprime) and instead they’re just butchering the whole species. They are literally acting like villains, like straight-up they’re treating the Kraang exactly like Draxum tried to treat Humanity before his redemption arc and like Newtralizer actually did treat the Kraang/Utroms! The Turtles are supposed to be heroes in most of these fics(though i will acknowledge that some of them are AUs where the Turtles were at least partially raised by Draxum, and are thus more violent and warlike, but even in those they’re still basically considered ‘misunderstood traumatized heroes’)!
3. I do have Rise Krang alters, and they are nice and aren’t evil like their source characters, and so they don’t like seeing their kind be so evil or have such fucked-up things done to them. Call me biased, but it’s true. However, I also have alters of the Turtles, and they don’t like seeing themselves being portrayed as violent assholes either, even if they do get why the fictional turtles have the trauma they do.
4. I find it interesting that there aren’t any Rise/2003 crossover fics where the Rise Turtles attack the 2003 Utroms the way they do the 2012 Kraang in these fics, and are called out for it. I also noticed that none of the Rise/2012 fics really bring up the 2012 Utroms and how most of the 2012 Kraang are literally being mind-controlled by 2012 Kraang Prime(and are thus not in control of their actions!). Obviously it’s because they want the Turtles to look better, so they only have them go all Punisher on the villainous Kraang/Krang/Utroms; but even knowing that, it still annoys me that they make these fics and the AU Rise Turtles are never truly called out on it narratively(if they get called out, it’s by characters who are meant to be assholes and/or misunderstanding things, and it is done to make the AU Rise Turtles into the victims and misunderstood heroes)
Ok, I was in the car, car sick, and bored people! I know it isn't the best but I was thinking about the what ifs!
Him, Casey, and Mikey are menaces.
He’s rolling around the floor horse playing with Raph every other day.
He respects Leo but purposefully gets on his nerves.
He doesn’t like Donnie.
He’s OK with April.
Hey for Homographs AU did I ever mention that Rise Mikey met 12 Splinter once?
Cause he did...
So im thinking about 12/rise crossovers, right. And I start thinking about 12's double mutations/supermutants and rise's yokai, so then I'm thinking about 12's mutagen and rise's ooze, and my brain goes "Don't forget about Empyrean! That's something that doesn't get brought up much in crossovers. Hey maybe you should look that stuff and 12's mutagen up since you don't know much about them"
Next thing I know I'm going through every turtlepedia page on the 2012 kraang I come across and a new au where the Krang are a rogue splinter (heh) faction of the Kraang that got exiled/fled to the rise dimension is rattling around in my head
i adore the 2012 kraang/utrom so much they are so Creature
