2016 Goals: Let’s Wrap this Cocksucker Up
So every year, I write out my goals for the next year. I prefer these to resolutions because I like the idea of life-long, slowly building progress, you know?
Anyway, this year I was not very good at my goals. I feel listless and unmotivated. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post with my 2017 goals for more on that.
Below the cut are my original goals and my end of year comments are in italics.

2016 Bookish Bucket List | End of the Year Wrap-Up
2016 Bookish Bucket List | End of the Year Wrap-Up
I usually do an end of the year wrap-up in the long survey form that is on Perpetual Page Turners blog, but this year I was a little late to getting it done as well as the fact that I didnt read much or was very involved in the book community this year. ♠ Read at least 50 books. [I finished out the year having read 21 books and DNF’d 1] ♠ Finish the Harry Potter series [ This is going to be part…

My Real Estate Goals for 2017 and a Review of 2016
My Real Estate Goals for 2017 and a Review of 2016
I have many big goals for 2017, and I had a very eventful and exciting 2016. I made many big goals for 2016, some I reached and some I did not. I never get disappointed when I do not reach my goals, because I know I do better with big goals, rather than easy goals. I also know I have to adapt and change my goals as the year progresses, because things happen I cannot predict. Goals have been a…

2016: Reflections
- Vacationed to Cuba with my sister I don’t wanna play the whole “we never go on vacation, we work so hard” card but, like, we never go on vacation and we work so hard. Started the year right, with the last week of January revolving around the beach, mojitos, espressos, cigarettes, and a Quebec boy who literally looks like Trudeau. 10/10 would recommend to a friend (but go in February when the weather isn’t shitty).
- Got a new job This is like my third job in two years lmao but it’s permanent, good pay, and I have benefits. I really like the people I work with!
- Bought a house! Big goal of mine, and I’ve wanted to move out for years. I had told myself I wanted to live alone by the time I was 25/26, and I moved out when I was 24. In love with my little home.
- Little goals Finished (well, surpassed) my reading and film goals! I’ve read more books this year than I have any year before, which is pretty cool! And this was the first year I completed my “Watch 52 New-to-me Films” goal!
-Bloggy blog I started a blog and actually wrote frequently (1-2x a week, to once every two weeks) until like November. Great way to get my thoughts out but mostly just make writing a regular habit again.
- Weight As usual I wanted to lose more weight but I’m like OKAY with where I am now. Ideally I’d probably want to be 5-10lbs lighter (hard to measure cause the scale is a weird thing). I was pretty active this year, with working out either at home or at the gym for most months.
- Little wins More than ever before, I got out of my comfort zone. Went on job interviews (which I hate), taught myself how to drive on the highway (which was one of my top fears lmao), and had to do a shit ton of paperwork/stressful things when moving out, but I did it! Also I suck at cooking and have been making new recipes like every week. WOO.

2017 Goals - Looking Forward To A New Year
2017 Goals – Looking Forward To A New Year
I feel like I say the same thing every year… wow did this year go by fast. It’s been a memorable one. From watching Little Man grow up to bringing Baby B into the world, 2016 has been busy. When I look back at my things to accomplish for 2016 I realize just how much has changed. When I wrote out my plan for 2016 I was 4 weeks pregnant and had no idea what the next 366 days had waiting for us.…
