At long last... after a full year of not continuing the holiday party series of posts and being too locked in on frivolous things like """homework"""... I'm finally finishing off what I started, in hopes that this gets me to finally catch up on all the scores I've gotten since I stopped posting to this account. Heavily overdue, yes, but hey!! It should be smooth sailing from here on out... hopefully. So let's get through this last batch of scores... together!!!

...huh. that was it? that's all i had to include to finish off the thread? just five extra chunithm scores and me throwing on arcaea a few times without audio? hmph.... well in fairness, the SS on Jingle bells [ULTIMA 14+] was pretty solid i guess... and maybe so was the S+ on parvorbital [MASTER 15]...? definitely could do better if i put in the effort to learn the chart though... which i definitely should do sometime .

buuuut other than those two scores, that's kinda it for the holiday party! little anticlimatic to finish the sequence after over a month with such little fanfare, but genuinely this night was AMAZING and i had a ton of fun!!! didn't think i would hold out this long playing such exhausting arcade games either, especially DDR Doubles!!! but somehow i did... and i lived until morning to see the sun rise, the traffic pick back up, and help with cleaning the arcade after the fact so that i could go home half-conscious and crash asleep . i've had my fill of rhythm games for both the day in the post and the day today after all, so next post may or may not be skipping a date... but y'know what? #Worth

December 20th, 2025 (2/3) - Groove Coaster, CHUNITHM LUMINOUS PLUS, maimai PRiSM, DJMAX Technika, EZ2AC, WACCA PLUS

Previously on 2dkapsddr...! The clock struck 2 AM, leaving us officially halfway into this all-nighter of an arcade rhythm gaming session!! Kaps played some maimai after recovering from DDR doubles, only to get destroyed and severely regret it!! The energy drinks from earlier are wearing out and aren't keeping our beloved scoreposter awake much!!! A groove coaster score left out from yesterday's scores due to tumblr's stupid image limit!!! And a clock that counts down to the dreadful closing time of 9 AM... will our hero survive the night and cement himself in terrible decision-making arcade rhythm gamer history??? Find out in today's (or possibly the next) post!!!

i can't lie, i'm feeling sleepy and woozy as hell as i'm writing this, but it's honestly the perfect condition with regards to this night!! i mean, i visited the arcade on both days and am staying awake until 2 am, so there's really no difference if you think long and hard about it! but no matter... let's get back on track with the barrage of miscellaneous and confusing scores (mainly song suggestions across every single game available here), starting with a sightread SSS FC on Netsu Ijou [MASTER Lv.14]! then another random ass set of maimai! then DJMAX Technika 3 song suggestions + clears!

shocking to me was my ability to still analyze, study, and execute charts + critically think this late into the night. maybe it was the sugar subsiding and the caffeine reaching a moderate level...? still had ~6 hours left of gaming to do though, so i had to use this little window of time to the fullest!!! and i also happened to have a few song suggestions in a few particular games, so i came, saw, played TECHNOPOLIS [MASTER Lv.14+], and after several tragic plays... i got an FC!!! that's 14+ FC #2 i think!!!! maybe!!!!! plus some rating at that!!!! (also funky little Hardcore Syndrome [MASTER Lv.14+] SS+)

i'm ngl, by this point i was getting Really tired and the caffeine was wearing off slowly but surely... i could still play and grind ofc, but the constant switches between games and focuses was the only thing keeping me from just falling asleep on the chair . there was one last hope though... WACCA!!!! hadn't played it all this time and was hesitant due to the absolute workout it was, buuuut i'd already played maimai all day today, what's one more full-field circle workout game? and so began the non-stop grind, both to play songs suggested by my friends prior to coming here and to fill out my rating slots that have been so empty and so low for so long... just your average 1300 rating scores LOL .

i actually kept cycling through games even without filling my wacca B60 (even though it would make way more sense to do it now with infinite time and an open queue(?)) as i still had several more hours to go (have to stay awake) and several more song suggestions from friends to play while i was here... leading to some rather sick EZ2AC (5K Standard) clears like Aquaris [HD 9], Houseplan [HD 9], Sand Storm [HD 10], and even MacGuffin #EZ [SHD 11] with a very solid A+!!! groove coaster's slightly less climactic (besides the near-FC on Smash a mirror [Hard 9] and S+ on Battle Against a True Hero [Hard 9] ig) as the cabs had somehow gone offline, but still had a slight bit of fun with it :]

t'was back to the wacca grind with a vengeance after that, given i still had a billion more requests from my friends to get through... i Do sorta feel like i'm slowly but surely getting better at the game, but some charts are still throwing me off a ton... really wonder how to get good at them . maybe some other day i'll figure it out... but seeing as i've already run out of images for this post, this concludes my WACCA journey for the night . simply too exhausting,,,, but there's still a few more images to go for the day, so stay tuned for the final part of the very awesome and cool Gamecenter All-Nighter!!!

December 18th, 2025 - Crystallium, CHUNITHM PARADISE LOST, GITADORA GALAXY WAVE DELTA, DDR WORLD, SDVX EG, StepManiaX, IIDX 33, ProSeka

a new weekend has (almost) arrived, so you know what that means... ANOTHER SOLSTICE ARENA GRIND SESH!!! this time, it's the very last round of the team tournament, and i need to get grinding and submitting NOW!!! for a very special occasion awaits me later this weekend... not much else to talk about until i reach that point tho, so let's GET INTO IT!!! ...right after these extra few random scores on Crystallium's Open Beta after showing it off to some friends... eghhh still dunno how to feel about it, though i guess it's pretty neat

starting with chunithm because i had just talked with a friend about accuracy habits and learning to build it without fully deciating to uppers, and i wanted to back my statements up with at least a little bit of evidence so i wouldn't appear as a nonsense fraud talking about myself!! found an abandoned credit of chunithm to do just that, and... i ended up appearing as a nonsensical fraud . i swear i'm better than this i'm promise sorry sorry sorry i don't know what happened

continuing forth! iirc i saw a free credit after talking with a friend who was playing and didn't wanna hop on the DDR grind just yet, so here's a little set of DrumMania where i cleared both I'm so Happy (Rockin' ver.) [ADVANCED 6.25] and Sand Blow [ADVANCED 4.85]!! the latter being less impressive... i really need to play this game more :p

okay NOW it's ddr time!! and the preparation proved Extremely true... because after a sorta lackluster warmup set (with the only notable score being a 14 flag), i proceeded to kick off the next set with a GFC on DDR MEGAMIX [CSP-16] and... CHAOS [CSP-16]????? no idea how, why, or what, or asldkjflkdsajflksda i don't even know, but this was INSANE and suuuper promising for the rest of the session... so long as i kept up the momentum, that is. and then to end off the session, i also massively upscored my Healing-D-Vision [CSP-18] from 871k to... 963k????? how??????? i'll take it tho, hooooly

aaand since it's only one score, i'll upload my first attempt on the first of the trial songs... an unprecedented, already-insane 994k on Tokyo Shinwa [ESP-17] and a 94.37% EX% to boot!!! and since the average EX% requirement this time around was only 92%, my score was already super solid enough to submit!!! figuring i could get a better score later on though (since this was first try of the day) i put a pin in it to revisit later...)

SDVX friend was still playing SDVX so i decided to take a breather from DDR and join him for a teensy bit to get some upscores of my own... resulting in a 978 on Shakunetsu Beach Side Bunny [EXH 18], my third(?) 18 S-rank on Innocent Azure [MXM 18] (with a 992 too!!), and to end it off... getting my 2nd ever 19 clear on the very funny Sasoribi [MXM-19]!!

stepmaniax break!! i've been DYING to play this game since my last visit and i finally had the chance... for it is UNBEATABLE MONTH and i haven't played this game since prior to its release (+ needing to warm back up for DDR), i started off with Worn Out Tapes [FULL+ 22] and got... a 57p PFC as my first 22 PFC??? i don't even remember if i have a 21 or 20 PFC... but nevertheless i'll take it LOL . also played the original Tidal Wave geometry dash song, Shiawase [FULL 23], as well as the great, big, glorious recent addition... London Bridge, on FULL+ 23, WILD 21, and FULL 14!!!

per oomf's (sorta) request and suggestions, here's a bit of IIDX after a bit of a lunch break so i don't instantly jump into dancing -- HCs on I Was The One [SPA-4, lol] and KAMIKAZE [SPA-10, damn] + EXHCs on Broken My Heart [SPA-9] and NEO GENERATOR SEVEN [SPH-9]!!! still kinda lost on what to do in this game...

once i felt good enough though, i headed back to the DDR cab to grind out the last few scores for the event. lo and behold, a friend from a rival team happened to have the same idea of grinding their scores on the same team... except we weren't really rivals because we were actually allied and relying on each other for the last team trial in a weird series of events!!! since we had similar target songs and weak points to work out, we decided to do some Friendship Training a la Umamusume to get some banger scores in for each of our teams... and for each other!!!

starting with the boss song we were both struggling with, ACE FOR ACES [ESP-15] with an insane first play upscore from 812k to 982k!!!! tbf i did study it while eating beforehand (and also hadn't played it since... 2021?), but still insane just how much one can improve in such time... and it didn't even stop there, because i then upscored it to a solid 995k!!! come to find out a few minutes later that my team actually needed one more person to do the CSP-18, so after a few goofy song picks (incl. a sightread AAA on CUE CUE RESCUE [CSP-17])... i tried it and got an INSANE first-try ever FC on it??? my second ever 18 FC and it's on ACE FOR ACES of all things??? what the fuck?????? in fairness, this has become a lot easier to do with the advent of CONSTANT in DDR WORLD, but it nonetheless is an incredible feat to pull off... especially for my team, since it put me on par with (if not better than) most others who had to play the chart!!! and so, after that and finally getting a PFC on Aka to ao no rampage [ESP-14, 24p], the session came to a very satisfying close and i submitted my scores to help bring the team average up and boost us to near-victory!!! (save for a few teammates that still needed to submit their own scores... and the team average still not being sufficient... but that don't concern me anymore!!)

aaand to truly end the post: random ass AP on Memoria [Expert Lv.31] that i got before going to sleep . whatevs, 'least that's another Expert 31 down

November 21st, 2025 (2/2) - beatmania, maimai PRiSM, CHUNITHM LUMINOUS PLUS, EZ2AC

I'M FREE!!! from PC rhythm gaming, at least . yeahhhh procrastination was at its peak today, and i ended up doing nothing but playing PC VSRGs instead of doing homework or catching up on rest or ANYTHING to prepare me for the late-night storm of Arcaea Next Stage. but due to the passage of time stopping for no one, it was already nigh time to visit the arcade for open house by the time i finished gaming, and so i ventured back to da bus stop...

honestly? nothing awfully crazy today, despite me hyping up this visit . of course, i had a curfew in the form of getting back home in time for Arcaea Next Stage, but i really just wasn't feeling it for arcade rhythm games because of all the PC rhythm gaming before (my fault :p) . it also only then occurred to me that an open house would naturally attract a ton of people, so the arcade was PACKED with people playing every rhythm game and thus not leaving a lot of space for me to game . but nevertheless, this was still a session to remember... cleared 20,november (single mix) on Hard to celebrate the special day yesterday, finally cleared CANDY☆ [ANOTHER 8*] for the first time, and then got sightread S+ scores on QZKago Requiem [Expert Lv.13] and New York Back Raise [Master Lv.13+] on maimai!!!

hopped back over to chunithm, hoping to have a better session than last time... and i guess this sorta counts for that?? got +0.01 rating through a random re-SSS on Disruptor Array [Expert Lv.14], played and missed the S on Forsaken Tale [Master Lv.15+] for the first time, but the real drama is when i played volcanic [Master Lv.14]... and for no reason, seemingly out of nowhere, just completely bewildered, i got a 1-attack upscore, giving me the new 14 FC but completely missing the AJ, and i'm just ??????? cool but also FUCK!!!!!! I'M NEVER GETTING A LV.14 ALL JUSTICE EVER MAN WHAT THE HELL (oh also an SS+ on Hawatari 2oku Centi (TV Edit) [Master Lv.14+] and stupid S+ on Eta Beta Eta [Master Lv.14+], sillayyyyy :3c)

was supposed to finish up and go home after this, but the bus kept passing and i kept missing it after this last set of chunithm!!! the most rational response would be to wait in the waiting room for the next bus, but instincts pulled me right back to the games, and i ended up playing 5K several times over, missing the bus back home multiple more times... to the point where i gave up on taking any bus back home and just made a run for it back home doubting that the bus would ever come . but hey! got some sick ass scores like an FC on the aforementioned 20,november (single mix) [HARD 5*] and also on 2 gorgeous 4U ~EMULATE MIX~ [HARD 4*]... plus clears on SKA a go go ~PERFECT MIX~ [ANOTHER 9*] and SHOX [ANOTHER 9*] before finally heading back home!!!

bleghhhh,,, that was super chaotic both to write and experience, but i made it home safe, sound, and on-time since the stream itself experienced a delay in starting!!!! definitely should be more careful in the future on catching busses... but all the time i could spend playing more beatmania :^((,,,,, still, had a ball of a time and a ton of laughs/cheers with my friends who watched it alongside me . ARCAEA AND TANO*C FOREVER!!!!!!

November 14th, 2025 - Arcaea, EZ2AC, CHUNITHM LUMINOUS PLUS, DJMAX Technika, Tetris TGM3

stuck in eternal prison with being unable to PM this nightmare of the chart... ETR-10s are the worst difficulty in the game . but hey, got the FR on BlythE [ETR-10]!!! oh also slight PM upscore on Jingle (ETR-9, MAX-15 -> MAX-9) i guess

oh also, i did some arcade gaming today!! quite a lot of it!!! story goes that my arcade was having news reporters over to cover a story related to the arcade, and so they wanted to get people to kinda fill up the arcade and make it look populated in the moment. and so, being the certified Noise Maker of rhythm games, i set off and visited the arcade to make my presence known in the interview... by slamming keys with EZ2AC!!! i also took this opportunity to get through some of my friends' EZ2AC chart requests from way back when, leading to a lot of my personal favorite songs mixed in with sudden random song picks...

personal highlights for me were the clear on picking [5K STANDARD HD 13] and the A-rank on Visual Dream [5K STANDARD SHD 12] out of nowhere, as well as some neat clears on Dance Machine (YK House Edit) [5K STANDARD HD 10], Starlight Factory [5K ONLY EX 14], Nachthexen [5K ONLY EX 15], Nyarlathotep [5K ONLY EX 15], and to end off the session... District 1 [5K ONLY SHD 13] . you can put the EZ2AC in me, but you can't take the pump outta me :^]

welp -- since i was already here (and against my better judgement), why not try some of the other games? especially my long-lost beloved and former main game... CHUNITHM!!! been ages since i played this seriously and wanted to see how i was holding up... the result? Washed and Chopped. yeah i've lost the spark completely i'm sorry LOL, i realized that instantly and decided to just go for side quests on the way to unlocking The Song of the version... i guess consistent S+ across 15s isn't terrible, but it's not great for a rainbow + 1/4 player like me LOL

whaddahell is this game . that's right baybee i still play tetris!!! and amidst waiting for the bus several times over... i got back-to-back promotional exams in world rule master to reach Rank 2 !!! yippee!!! (still need to lock tf in and get S1 already)

and to truly cap off the session (i missed the bus TWICE)... DJMAX TECHNIKA!!!! just a teensy bit of gaming... woulda been 3 songs if i didn't utterly fail on Beat U Down :P but still such a peak and fun game...

October 12th, 2025 - beatmania THE FINAL, maimai DX PRiSM, CHUNITHM LUMINOUS PLUS, ONGEKI bright MEMORY

aaaand here's the Other big day!!! despite having gone to gamecenter until basically midnight last night, i was due today for Another meetup with friends that required my full attendance and attention . i was a little stressed the night before because i thought i wouldn't have any time at all to meet up with said friends for the sake of homework, but an accidental test taken at around 1 AM absolved me of that responsibility and thus i was able to attend without worrying about my tests and exams ... thus... I'M BACK IN THE FUCKING BUILDING AGAIN!!!! and starting strong with the most high-energy intense songs i could think of playing in beatmania, at that...! (funniest part was friends seeing me play the game and asking "how the hell can you read that it's like 30 fps)

once i managed to pry myself away from beatmania though, it was PERFORMAI SONG SUGGESTION TIME!!!! i asked around for people's ideas on what songs to play, and got quite a few suggestions from my fellow co-volunteers at the Full Combo team, so i did my best to play as much of them as possible...! (as well as some self-indulgent song picks i really wanted to try...) (also wtf for a 14 that Eta Beta Eta [MASTER 14] score is Insane, didn't know i could ball like that... or maybe i can't, gonna have to practice a teensy bit more than that...)

following that series, iiiiit's ONGEKI TIME!!!! been a while since i played this one, but Daaamn is it 1. very fun to play, 2. rather challenging yet enjoyable, and 3. very Insane-looking to those who don't no-life rhythm games like i do, what with the 6 buttons and 2 side panels and a middle control stick to top it all off LMFAO . again, this was mainly to play song suggestions, but i got to play some other songs i really enjoyed and set some records i thought i was too unskilled to set... still kinda filling out my best rating songs, after all!! and although i wasn't paying attention to it at all for the most part, one very lucky and very cool play on DIE IN [EXPERT 13] sealed the deal and pushed me up waaaaay past the 10 rating mark to finally become Purple!!! (though that just reaffirmed that there was indeed new version rating in here too... shucks, guess i'll have to sit down and play act 3 songs someday after all . but hey, maybe that means i can reach 12 or even 13 rating soon enough...? who am i kidding...

quick chunithm break before i headed out for a food break... scores unfortunately weren't too impressive, but i did get a sweet MAX-17 AJ on Blazing Break [MASTER 13+] thanks to yet another song suggestion i got!!

aaaaand it was right back to Chunithm once i got back!!! downscore, bad 15 sightread, not a very hype return, but ah well... it was already dark out anyways... and tragically didn't have enough time to unlock the great big Forsaken Tale boss that everyone's been begging me to play in the song suggestions... Fools!! It's not even that hype!!! It has the same CC as like 7 other songs in the latest version!!! i'm not goin through the whole unlock process for that!!!

just a bit more maimai to go before leaving for the day... some song suggestions, other self-indulgent picks, a few scores omitted across the post due to better scores achieved later and a lack of space due to tumblr post guidelines... and a very cool FC on Role-playing Game [MASTER 12+] and manimani [MASTER 12+]!!!! also a Veeeeeeery Small Teensy Tinsy Unnotable Upscore on Liar Dancer [MASTER 13] :3c

October 11th, 2025 - CHUNITHM LUMINOUS PLUS, maimai DX PRiSM, beatmania THE FINAL, DDR X2

THE BIG DAY IS HERE!!!! today, my university is hosting their student-organized anime convention mini event, and i've made a deal to meet up with a good friend of mine and tour around the con!!! it was honestly really awesome, i met up with a ton of cool people (including my friends from gamecenter), i got to try a few game demos, and i bought just a feeeeew things from the artist alley set up there!!

but perhaps the coolest part was at the very end where we met and danced around with a group representing bilibili, and coincidentally... they just so happened to be fans of maimai and were going to Gamecenter shortly after the event!!! having met the gamecenter people earlier and hung out with them for most of the event, i hopped into a car with them all and took off to the arcade for the night!!!! it was AWESOME, i loved every minute of it, although i did sacrifice quite a bit of sleep and study time for it... but no matter, maimai and CHUNITHM are far more important than any of those pesky matters!!! in fact, here's me getting a MAX-8 AJ on JET [ULTIMA 13+] at last!!! unfortunately someone accidentally hit Continue with my account still on the cab, and thus i lost just a hundredth of rating, but i quickly gained it back in my next set with a sweet sweet SS+ on Love's Theme of BADASS [MASTER 14]!!!

in between those scores and afterwards, i grinded a teensy bit more maimai and got a rockin' few upscores (plus minor rating increases!!!).... as well as a 99% on my very first shot at Umiyuri Kaiteitan [MASTER 13]!!! i could for sure upscore that raputa though... maybe some other day... it's just too much of the chart that i keep forgetting...

very brief beatmania THE FINAL and DDR X2 scores, nothing too big, just goofing off and playing doubles without the sickness recovery nor sightread ability to do so... blegh

August 30th, 2025 (1/2) - IIDX 31, maimai PRiSM, ONGEKI, CHUNITHM LUMINOUS, WACCA PLUS

back at it AGAIN at the other local arcade, and this time i'm here with... not much bloodthirst honestly, just wanting to meet up with the same friend as last time and grind out a few games while i was at it :] as such, most of the iidx scores from this session were kinda washed compared to what i could've gotten at Round 1 . still makes for decent practice tho, and i got a sick new clear on m1dy Deluxe [SPA-11] despite the otherwise poor scores !!

buuuut once again, the real action and gaming was centered almost entirely on maimai!!! only one cab available at the moment, but not many others were here anyway, so i got to take advantage of that freedom to Game !!! ...i sorta sucked at it for a bit at first, but thanks to friend's song picks and banger suggestions, i powered through and played some absolute BANGER charts/songs to boost my skill and have fun while i'm at it!!! (even if many of the charts were 2hard4me without sufficient warmup LOL) . afterwards i also gave 8th dan a shot despite minimal warmup, only to get demolished by each song and ultimately perish at Kyuukurarin :[ next time, my turn..

played ongeki!!! i'm ever-so-slightly improving!!! hip hip hooray!!! (and of course, i had to play the funny 6K chart for rating . first 14 S i guess...? could be better if i upped my scroll speed but i need it low to read the actual bullet hell patterns LOL

waccing it (still in an eternal conflict on whether to take my score photos for this game vertically or horizontally -- tempted to take them the same way i take maimai photos, but there's nothing at the top to really capture, so Aghhhh (good charts and good songs tho!!! slowly but surely filling up my rating slots, still have a lot more grinding to do before i catch up to main...

went back to maimai to give 8th dan another try and (somehow) got an S-rank on everything EXCEPT the first (and easiest) song, but nevertheless... given it was much better than my first attempt and i actually took the time before the set to learn Kyuukurarin [MASTER Lv.13+], i locked tf in (also passing 13100 rating in the process :]) and secured the 8th damn daniel!!!! now i'm 8th dan in TWO games (i think) (the other being iidx)!!!!

y'know what, let's just make this a dan set and get 'em up in every game!!! running out of image space so i'm gonna have to make a followup post with my class/dan/stage results in WACCA, but getting the few chunithm scores out of the way first... it's Gaming!!! knocked out Class V's EXPERT BOSS RUSH course on my first* try and finally got the badge, while also trying another Class V course hoping i'd get an upgraded Class V badge!!! (spoiler alert: i didn't, but i got +0.01 rating and an overall SS on the 2nd course out of it!!!)

wish i could fit them all in a single post, but alas... tumblr limitations . maybe it was a mistake to make this archive on this platform for that reason... but nevertheless, i've got the very tiny wacca followup locked and loaded riiiight.... HERE!!!
